Samsung Galaxy A55 to feature 25W charging
Samsung Galaxy A55 got a regulatory approval in China, and the official listing revealed the phone will have 25W charging. This will be the fifth device in a row from the Galaxy A5x series with such rates since the company started implementing it in midrangers in early 2021.
The phone with model number SM-A5560 (the digit 0 at the end means this is the version for Mainland China) will support 9V charging at 2.77A, and the adapter will be sold separately. We expect the retail box to have the same contents globally, meaning only the device, a USB-C cable and a SIM ejector pin.
This is the first time we have seen any official bit of information regarding the best-selling Samsung midrange series. So far, we heard rumors it might come with the still-unannounced Exynos 1480 chipset, which could have four CPU cores at 2.75 GHz and four more at 2.05 GHz – a major improvement in the performance cores compared with the Exynos 1380.
