Samsung Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 mega leak outs specs, images, prices
Samsung is getting ready to refresh the main three members of its mid-range A series. In fact, the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 are now rumored to become official within the next few days, ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (which takes place starting Monday).
The three devices have a lot of things in common, according to a new mega leak, especially when it comes to their display specs and their overall design. The design is obvious from the sets of leaked official-looking renders below. All three employ Samsung's new design language for the rear cameras, which are now part of an oval-shaped island and not individual like before (only the flagships seem to be keeping the individual camera bumps this year).
Interestingly, all three phones will have the same size display (6.7"), with the same 1080x2340 resolution. The A56 and A36 will advertise 1,200-nit peak brightness. The A56's screen is covered with Gorilla Glass Victus, the A36 has Gorilla Glass 7+, while Samsung doesn't mention which version is used in the A26.
The A56 and A36 both have in-display fingerprint sensors, whereas the A26 has to make do with a capacitive unit embedded into the power button (and some may argue that's for the better, considering the under-display ones will certainly be optical, not ultrasonic).
As you can see, the A26 still features a notch, while the other two get hole-punch cutouts for their selfie cameras. The Galaxy A56 is powered by the Exynos 1580 SoC in Europe at least (other markets may get something different), paired with 8GB of RAM in all storage versions.
The A36 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The A26 goes with the Exynos 1380 chipset, and pairs it with 6/8GB of RAM.
All phones have a 50 MP main rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The A56 gets a 12 MP ultrawide, while the other two have to make do with 8 MP. Additionally, each has a macro cam. This is 5 MP on the A56 and A36, and 2 MP on the A26. Selfies are taken care of by a 12 MP camera in the A56 and A36, and a 13 MP snapper in the A26. All selfie cameras have autofocus and support for recording 4K at 30fps.
The A36 and A26 still have 3.5mm headphone jacks, while the A56 is the only one of the trio with a metal frame. Battery size is the same for all: 5,000 mAh. The A56 and A36 will support 45W wired charging, while the A26 will only go up to 25W. All of them will run Android 15 with One UI 7 from day one.
The trio is allegedly going to be released in early March for identical prices to their predecessors. In Europe, this means the A26 will start at €299, the A36 at €379, and the A56 at €479.

The only good news out of this is that the A36 got back its headphone jack. I couldnt care less about a metal frame if it means losing a more important feature, besides metal means worse reception and more weight for nothing since it will be in a cas...
