Samsung Galaxy A82 5G pops up on Geekbench with Snapdragon 855+
Over a month ago, we had the first piece of information regarding Samsung Galaxy A80's successor. Other than the model number and the fact that it will feature a quirky camera module with a rotating mechanism, there was nothing else in the report.
Now, we have the chipset, thanks to a couple of Geekbench listings. The model number SM-A826S helped us identify the handset as the Galaxy A82 5G and to our surprise, it will feature the Snapdragon 855+ SoC launched in late 2018.
The configuration that was tested also runs Android 11 out of the box and is equipped with 6GB of RAM. We will wait for more details to come around to paint a fuller picture.

It's probably rocking the Snapdragon 775, as that one was purported to be as fast as the Snapdragon 855 in cpu benchmarks
