Samsung Galaxy A8 Star goes on sale today
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, which became official last week, is now up for sale in India.
The device is an Amazon India exclusive and costs INR 34,990 (€430). That price nets you a 6GB+64GB model in either Black or White with a 1 year screen protection plan (if you buy between August 27 and September 5).
The Galaxy A8 Star has a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 6GB of RAM, a 3,700mAh battery and three cameras - a 24MP f/1.7 + 16MP f/1.7 dual camera on the back and a 24MP f/2.0 selfie snapper.
The Galaxy A8 Star will butt heads with the likes of the Huawei nova 3i, which offers a similar specs sheet for less money.

Well, this is one of the better phone in Samsung A series. Hope the 2019 version will come with SD7XX. The price though, you paying for the brand marketing. No difference than buying Gucci. Brand is powerful.

At least it shows that Samsung is starting to focus on the midrange. About time as well, as the competition has heated up
