Still Running Fine After Almost five years of intense use, it got the last update from middle 2022(secure) and also Android 10, it’s possible via non official way to upgrade to Android 12, but I am keeping it with the original tested softwares. Battery is still powerful enough to stand 2 days without being charged!!! With intense social media use it still endure 1 full day. Cameras are enough for nowadays uses, sometimes I have the feeling that the 4 cameras are in the same level of the A53S model photo quality. Probably I am going to use it until it dies.

If anyone is still selling new stock (sealed) I will definitely buy it again. I bought this A9 (2018) in 2020 with new official condition. Now it is more than 3 years old and today I will share my experience using it.
The first thing is a compliment for this smartphone made by Samsung, never thought it could last this long even after being splashed into the water 2 times, slammed from a height of 2 meters from the floor, and fell hundreds of times from the bed because I was a reckless person plus a back cover slippery plastic.
Although I never knew the A9 2018 had an IP rating, the experience of being submerged in water and falling so many times made me very surprised at the durability of this cellphone. Now physically intact, there are only a few scuffs and dents in the corners. The screen is still perfect even though the anti-scratch has never been used since the first time I bought it.
So, ya. Very inversely proportional to people's reviews on the latest Samsung smartphones whose screens are hit by a light saber or green line. My A9 (2018) is amazing durability.
What's decreased from my A9 (2018) is the battery power, the faster it runs out day by day. I often use playing Mobile Legend games for around 5-6 hours a day with a full battery condition than playing while charging. Gameplay really playable in high frame settings, but the temperature is very hot, especially near the camera. This makes the game stutter and the battery runs out quickly.
Then the camera from the start seemed normal. For the main camera and the selfies are very good, it's just that the ultrawide camera is very bad. but still better than nothing at all. What a smartphone it is.

This phone, despite all its shortcomings, has been a very durable phone. I've been using it for more than 4 years now, and the only issue I've encountered is the natural battery degradation. Thumbs up to Samsung on this one.

This is a very enduring phone. Still working fine. The child is playing, installing and deinstalling, a lot of games, and the operating system handles it excellently.
Samsung has produced an excellent phone!

I still have this A9, but now I use this phonecell for storage only and only for watching collection videos without activating the phone's simcard internet signal. only airplane mode. good internal storage 128 gb

Please get check by technical person, if not solve you should try rom flash too. Sometime its only software errors.
