Samsung Galaxy AI is coming to these older devices

Yesterday, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra - all three models bursting at the seams with AI. Galaxy AI, in fact. They will be running Android 14 of course, with One UI 6.1 on top - unlike any other Samsung device so far (they're all on One UI 6 tops).

So, if you have an older Samsung, you may be wondering whether your device will at some point get some of those AI features. Good news: the answer is yes. "Many" of them, according to Samsung itself.

The models that will, at least initially, get these AI features, are the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. All of these will get their AI infusion in the first half of the year.

We assume this means they will be updated to One UI 6.1 until the end of June, and that will contain those "many" AI features first seen on the S24 family - many, but not all, keep in mind. It's still unclear which features will make the cut and which won't, but stick around and we'll let you know when we find out.

S9 FE and FE+ have a low end chips compared to the Exynos 2100 or SD888. So Samsung won't bring it to any of its Tab FE devices, I'm sure of it.
