No phone is water proof... only water resistant. And if you spill a little water or something on it it is fine, you can't just throw it into the atlantic ocean and expect it to survive. If you get a good case however, its a lot more resistant.

i have this phone. my carrier is safelink, i cant send or receive text messages. safelink sent me a SIM card, stll cant send or receive text messages. trying to find out what is the problem

I'm having a data call problem... When ever I try to make a call using internet connection on whatsapp or facebook, once I enter the app or my screen locks it starts to reconnect until I unlock my screen or go back into the app

Water has no effect yet... although I do not suggest submersion!
