Right out of the box and you keep your old phone besides this and u will realise the shear presence this phone generates (ofcourse if you are not using a 5'' already). Any ways the pack comes with free flip cover the screen with a decent screen protector,charger+datacable,battery,headset.
Everyone is writings lots of pros about this phone but i will just highlight the cons after rigorous usage since the 8th of Feb'13. I have two Samsung grands one from flipkart the other from Samsungestore. Well funnily samsung estore delivered faster than flipkart.
0. U start the phone and it wants you to log into Google,Samuns store this that and like all Androids it will not do it without WIFI, it just sucks. I had to use my old phone to start my Wifihotspot and start up.
1. Android 4.1.2 yes this actualy is not suitable for phones with such less internal memory. Above Gingerbread Android dosent allow any application transfer from phone sdcard to external sd card. (possible if you only root the system, if anybody else can i will give a treat...:P)
2. Expected usable memory to be atleast 6 GB from the internal memory of 8GB. sadly only 4 GB is usable.
3. RAM 1 GB is horrible, phone lags a lot i have applications of only 1.6 GB currently installed and even if you force stop applications they start and eats up system memory.
4. There is a peculiar problem with both the Galaxy grands i have. Keep your phone in Vibrate mode and dial a number it automatically changes to sound mode. I mean what the f***. donot happen all the time but it is irritating when it happens. No user can deny it. i have contacted Samsung and many other users who face the same problem. Although i suppose it is a problem of Jelly Bean. Samsung has told me no update is avialable now but they may try to fix it up.
5. I have Galaxy S3 and can smoothly use video chat from Skype but strangly this phone dosent allow. Google plus video chat is seamless. Video call is difficult.
6. 3G possible only from sim 1.
7. Dual stand-by is all crap. It call forwards from one sim to other. At the end i have to pay.
8. Vodafone sim which has 2 GB of 3G data free for two months has to be preactivated 3G sim and entered in sim 1 slot. 3G data cannot be used in other devices.
9. Multi Window, :P :P try the Note 2 and comeback. What will i do will video and music in smaller windows? i cannot use internet in multiwindow, i cannot check youtube. i mean i didnot understand the utility.
10. Try using the motion,Retina display and all other avialable options in power saving mode and minimum brightness. Phone donot last moree than 12 hours which calls,music and a little gaming.
11. U record a HD quality video and the phone automatically compresses it to the phone display and its of no use too.
12. Retina display, another hoax try note 2 or S3 and comeback this one never locks the screen even if i am snoring.
13. In S3 using Utorrent/Bit torrent i can download in external memory why not there???
14. No option to configure bluetooth transfer from phone sdcard to external sd card.
15. A little on the heavier side.
16. Over Priced.
Pro's : i must mention the good ones while i critize the Grand so much.
1. Seamless gaming experience take it NFS, Fifa, Temple Run 2, Commando, whatever.
2. Camera is preety awesome.
3. in built 7.1 out put awesome.
4. No problem in display in strongest outdoor light(if not you are in beach or middle of highway in afternoon).
5. Motion sensors work great.
6. User manual is preloaded in the mobile.
7. Free flip cover.
8. Bearutiful music playback in bluetooth.
9. Sound clarity while making calls is fantastic.
10. There are a lot more but right now i just cannot figure any more out.

Its price should be in the range between 14,000- 16,500. No HD display, no hdmi port, dual core processor.
