.......due to supply shortage, Sammy has compel to fitted cheaper BROADCOM.... chipset with VIDEOCORE IV graphic on this phone.

The gpu is Videocore-4.
Gpu is necessary for graphics.
And all the details regrdng chipset and its performance will b out once ph wull b released

Looks like Samsung gona use 1.2 dual core qualcom, andreno 205/225, TFT/wvga screen or whatever to cut the cost..at least alternative way for consumer to choosing the right phone in terms of low budget

A better option than galaxy grand is Pantech burst or Discover.....
Chipset Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon
CPU Dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion
GPU Adreno 220 / Adreno 225....in Discover with 1GB RAM....
Guess the cost of pantech burst its only Rs.8800 in india and discover may cost around 15K-18k once they release unlocked phone which can be shipped to india..... Far more better than samsung already using Burst and its a amazing phone, Will look forward to Discover in coming months rather than going with samsung......

it can play full hd videos.
there is not a phone by which the videos taken by the default camera can't play
lot it takes full hd videos.and can be played using the default video player.
