AnonD-69442, 19 Dec 2012atleast the resolution should have been 540*960... 480*800 ... morePls come to the reality. A display isnt a thing of high ppi only. There are many important things belong to display. The WVGA display will help the GPU to take rest and show an excellent butter smooth UI. The RAM will be less conducted than WVGA+ displays like qHD HD or WXGA. And most importantly, the battery will last longer than qHD HD displays. 2100mAh battery will give you a very good backup on a WVGA display. Bigger resolutions are GPU+RAM+Battery hungry. And there are stil many nokia dumbphone owners living happily with their 808 pv or E7's 184ppi display or a 2.2"qvga display(182ppi) or a galaxy note owner(170ppi). Galaxy grand is perfect from my side. The designers nd engineers did a great job.

As This device is not a high end device and samsung knows better about the screen resolution n ppi than us so every device has a target consumer type in mind and for those this device in my opinion is a very good move by samsung. This phone will effect the consumers going for phones like micromax a110 (dual sim 5 incher) so ppl who wants all these specs plus brand value, can go for this.

Tbh I'm disappointed with the screen quality, but it seems like this phone will be cheaper than new phones on the market due to its specs, price range from £250-350 but networks may still charge £500 just for the cash

atleast the resolution should have been 540*960... 480*800 is way bad for a 5" phone... after releasing this samsung will sure stop production of S2 as this is replacement for S2...

Samsung deserve to be No.1 You release Phones with the consideration of your Customers' need and would be potential Customers (good memory card slot and large screen). Samsung make phones for everyone. Please keep up the good work. I already throw away my NOKIA and iphone.

Obviously 5" is going to be the new standard for phones in 2013
                            And in 2020: 32" ?

But 162 g !! That is a real brick with that size and weight in your pocket...

An upgraded n bigger s2 we can say. Screen resolution n ppi could have been better. Overall specs are best i think. an affordable within budget 5inch screen device.

Big phone(screen) > medium specs > medium price.
