been using for a month...not worth it...
-battery a big disappointment ( less than 8 hours ) with data usage (whatsapp,games)
-prolonged download at times need a data restart or sometimes phone reboot (very painful when downloading something huge)
-camera average
-grip on hand not so nice...tend to slip away. have to overcome this by some nice cover.
-screen resolution average.
-sound on the loudspeaker is noticeably loud and clear but the prepacked earphone sucks - very mediocre earphones
-speed is fine as long as nothing heavy is being run else it lags a little. apps like fb, whatsapp, some simple games and browsing performs well.
-charging takes very long time ( quite painful to wait )
-overall a midrange below average phone...not worth it for the price. power hungry...another garbage from samsung.

I am from Bangladesh... my aunt have gifted me this phone. really its great. features & performance are too excellent. I am really happy with this.. 9.5/10 :)

this is an amazing phone
i am using this phone from last
six month pls check ur ram
from application manager
and then only install the apps
it will never hangs
maximum running ram should be 600 mb\

galaxy grand is very good phone in cheap rate.... do not belive fake comment.... net speed, camera, video, video chat, game etc all is very nice...... all is one.....thanks samsung....

i have lenovo p780 i very good phone in this quad processor is give and the main point is 4000 mah battery is given it works 3 days 43hour contuniously talk time the price are same as compare to grand.in grand dual core processor is given in grand battery backup is very low

which is better?samsung galaxy grand or micromax canvas 2 plus?brand doesn't matter....all the features r same..in fact grand is dual core nd canvas 2 plus is quad core..im confused

this phone are not good enough for those who take technology on their hand but i think Samsung produce this phone and targeting people who have low budget and newcomer in android n smartphone.what really important is to measure your cloth on your own body.............

So slow. And 8gig memory is just not enough. Why can't Samsung just release a full spec 16gig internal memory and super amoled 4.8 inch or 5 inch phone and quad core. I would gladly pay that premium.

very bad features 5 inches screen and 187 ppi too poor resolution and forget cortex processor its too outdated samsung please stop to make people fool and please stop to make ugly design after galaxy s3 i not seen any new design from samsung they using same design for all phones
