Snowy, 18 Jun 2016Guys, I'm looking for a phone that can access several simpl... moreHello and Sorry about this late reply.
I brought my J1 Mini (it's called that where i live, only difference is it can't hold two SIMs) around a month and a half ago. Although not exceptional, for its price range it is way more than worth it. The browser runs smoothly, provided you have decent internet, the small storage size is easily helped by adding a SD card (There are three types of SD cards, J1 Nxt/Mini uses SDHC) This phone is capable of doing everything you expected it to, except maybe the battery life. The battery is only 1.5k mAH which is half of what big flagship phones have built in. If you are smart with battery consumption, it will last you around two days straight. Picky users who set their brightness higher than around 40 percent will tell you that this phone runs for barely half a day on a full charge, personally i disagree to that. if you do a little bit of research on battery longevity, you'll do fine with this phone, not to mention the ultra battery saving mode, if your battery is running low and draining fast.
All in all, sorry about replying so late and writing so much. hope this helps you.

I bot this phone few days ago. It's called J1 mini here. At first, i was concerned about TFT display but was quite satisfied after playing with it at a Samsung showroom. Does everything i need. Im also a fan of small form factor phones but nobody seems to make them anymore example sony z3compact

Well. It's certainly not bad for its price range. for AUD $200 this was far more than what i expected it to be. but as we all know, this is nothing compared to flagship phones. If you are really short on money, definitely buy this. it is worth it. however, if your budget is considerably larger than this phone's price tag, don't even consider this.
Also, i have no idea why it says 768 MB of ram on the aussie version. i've checked setting countless times and it never tells me my total ram is any less than 1GB.

if your J1 automatically restarts, it means that you have to free some space on your phone. you need to have at least 512mb free on your device memory

This device is definitely superior compared to other smartphones in it's price range (R1500 Retail). Just when I decided to boycott Samsung for the absurd pricing since the release of the S6 and up the smartphone giant surprises us with a budget smartphone that has incredibly smooth performance and has the same quality one can expect from Samsung. Don't underestimate this phone for it's price and seemingly small 4" inch screen. This device is a little beast. Gamingwise there is no lag. Runs smoothly.
I am not 100% satisfied. Well done Samsung!
