Requires a lot of patience and priority storage allocation with this one, with so little storage an SD card is most recommended. one of those devices that surprises and disappoints in certain circumstances and use cases.
Newer social media applications will run but perform below average, lite versions would be most recommended for heavily applications like tiktok. WhatsApp Business to normal WhatsApp for best performance preferably with no backups intended you'll need an extra level of patience if you intend to restore backups, Instagram is smoother than you'd expect, AI applications like gpt, anthropic and deepseek work well. Performs quite decently for it's specs though certain apps would have issues with ratio adaptation, redirect storage path to external SD where applicable (downloads folder, telegram repository...) would recommend moving entire applications to SD card though, can be problematic especially if corruption occur usually fixed by restarting though. Consider flashing OS for Linux OS, maybe not .

I've got a different model of this phone (J260A) it got up to Android 9 OneUI 1.5 and it was horrible when I used it. I broke my Galaxy S6 and had this one laying around and used it. If I had realized I had a Galaxy S4 laying around in my closet (discovered I had it there ~2 years ago) I would've used that instead.

This phone is a little decent, its only for calling, Social media and low end things, gaming on this phone is extremetely garbage but atleast runs subway surfers lol , camera is decent for a phone like this, the storage is not recommendable (16GB) its too small for apps so you will need to have an SD card. Overall id give this a 4.5/10.

Could be a decent MP3/FM radio/music device to complement a main phone that has no headphone jack or microSD card that you wont give a sh!t about losing cause its not exactly flagship priced

If you don't mind bigger phones, there are better options from Nokia itself. Chinese brands, including Samsung, may give decent options but may not last long as you wish.

The phone was a total dissapointment, despite that it was a low end phone I wasn't expecting such a garbage phone...

everything on this phone sucks, it shouldn't even be worth $50 and they used to sell this for $120

android 8 in 2020?? and it's the terrible go variant that can't even run on the painfully slow exynos/SD425 chipset

even my huawei y7 (a 2017 phone) had an SD435 which is a newer chipset than the 2020 version of the J2 core

Do you also know a phone that's as sturdy as this one because you can't deny it's strength is almost close to Nokia's. I've been with it for 4-5years and have had to manage 5,97GB all those years and lost some great photos of my younger self or photos I'd been keeping for over 2-3years etc. So I'm looking for a new

The Galaxy J2 Core, where can I get started?

Let me put it to you this way, it sucks. I had to use this phone for about 7 months until I got my S8. Within the 7 months of using it, it sucked. There was nothing for storage or ram. The photos were terrible on it no matter what, even in bright light it sucked. The worst part of it is how slow it was, very very slow. OneUI 1.5, android 9 makes it suck as much as it does. I have to say though I miss using it because it gave me really really good battery life. The only thing I liked about using it was the battery life.

Overall, it's a good phone. The main problem is the low storage on it. Camera works great, but obviously in an era of high MP's, 8MP may not be good enough for some people, at least depending on what you're film or photographing. If you want a phone that you'll only need for talking, texting, and surfing the web, this is it. Anything else, you'll have to pay more to get more.
