Samsung Galaxy M05 is official: Helio G85, Android 14 and 5,000mAh battery

Samsung took the wraps off its Galaxy M05 – the latest entry-level member in the M-series. Looks alone will tell you this is a rebadged Galaxy A05 and the specs confirm the similarities.

Like the A05, Galaxy M05 brings a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The waterdrop notch cutout houses an 8MP front-facing camera.

There’s a 50MP main cam on the back alongside a 2MP depth sensor and LED flash. Samsung went ahead and used the same MediaTek Helio G85 chipset here paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which can be expanded via the microSD card slot.

Galaxy M05 ships with One UI Core 6.0 based on Android 14 and Samsung is promising 2 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates.

The device is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W charging support and features a headphone jack.

It won't be india-only release, unlike redmi 13/c 5g

Samsung should realize that they have better ways to discard their refurbished products. Either give them away free to those who can't afford a smartphone, or simply avoid rehashing their unsold inventory at all.
