Like if you use 2 apps simultaneously then you can stick with 4 GB version but if you use more than 4 or 5 apps at the same time, buy the higher RAM version as in future you may need more RAM.

I Would like to buy it but the RAM is the issue only 4GB. is it lag though with that ? The 6GB RAM is $50 more ( no discount)

Unfortunately redmi's are out of stock and A24 5G is over my budget. But fortunately there's discount for M14 5G. I do need 5G phone with big battery/ fast charge and decent soc so M14 it is.

Or else for 2 year usage buying 4G device is ok if you know that your country will not shut those 4G towers within next 2 to 3 year.
During this decade many stupid things are happing and companies are trying upgrade towers in almost every country all around the world.
Thus some country lost 2G networks, some lost 3G networks.
4G is widely used for now but in these technology era upgrades can happen way faster than those earlier decades.
So, choose based on your research on your own need.
