Bought this phone 15days back, it was heating up with normal use battery back was thrash i was hugely disappointed initially was regretting my decision buying this instead of ce4, but guys believe it or not a security patch or update was released on 25th april it has fixed heating and battery issues no i can say it is better deal than A35
After using it for 15days ( After new update)
Pros
Excellent display
Battery backup 10hrs 40mins on screen time with airtel jio sims on( as i have mentioned earlier its completely a different phone after the update)
Charging time 1hr 20mins(from 5% to 100) i have 25watt samsung adapter not 45
No lags as of now
Camera is decent
Cons
Charger price 45w costs 3500
No gorilla glass protection
Overall i would rate 7/10 its an excellent phone after the update if u are planning to buy a phone within 30k a branded one m55 is the best beats a35 hands down only difference is victus+ ip67,oneplus ce4 is better in every aspects but i like 4major updates
No lags gaming with medium settings

I suppose it is almost the same as 8 Gen 1, which means it could be plagued with a wide variety of issues due to its inferior construction like heating and all, which is exactly what people're complaining.
I'm shocked to see a Samsung phone go so bad. It has 2 stars on Amazon, not 2.5.
This is the worst rated Samsung I've ever seen.

The M55 appears to be quite underwhelming in India with multiple users complaining about excessive overheating. The user reviews on almost any online shopping platform is 2.5 out of 5 stars on average with many users having negative feedback to share. I was initially excited to buy this phone since it had 45 Watt charging, but sadly not going to buy this one. Hope Samsung releases another version of M55 (maybe M55 S or M55 Plus) to fix all these complaints.

Review rating is 2.5 / 5 in Amazon.in m... moreSince SD 7 gen 1 manufactured by Samsung in 2022 which is same year as the infamous Exynos 1280, I'm not really surprised if that chip also has Exynos-like problem (Battery drain, Heating issue, etc). Only since 2024 Samsung solved those problem with Exynos 1480, as results Samsung A55 doesn't have such battery drain and heating problem.

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2024I can't think of a single other Samsung device with th... morewell yeah the M55 is the first samsung phone to use that chip, samsung had to somehow utilized the chip because it didnt sell as its a failure product, other vendors rather used the cheaper 778G that performed better or dimensity alternative like the D7200 (like the vivo v27 and v29 the biggest example) than to use this failure costly 7G1 chip

my friend bought it considering Snapdragon processor, but phone heats up to 41.60 Celsius in room temperature. Battery drains too fast (Samsung guys told to switch off mobile data and to reduce the screen brightness to less than 50%. PATHETIC RESPONSE). Camera is worst. Phone was purchased online (e-commerce), no one is helping him in resolving the problem either e-commerce nor Samsung franchised service centre.

Chinese people also won't come here to post reviews and they have better brands to choose from in China.

As compared with other phones in the same price range the better sides are 1. Display 2. Security 3. Software updates . While the worst sides are 1 build quatities 2. Cameras 3. Processor 4. Charger. 5 . Some bloatwares . Other features and specifications are average or below. So if I consider rs2000-3000 for charger the phone actually costs 30000- 35000 for 256 to 512 ram variants.. This is havoc with so many cons.
