I dont understand why are they marketing this product as The Monsterest Monster with 5000 mAH battery, 8 GB ram which is quite a normal/ quite older generation spec. My child uses the same specification but better one. Samsung has lost the race.

Sam N8 808 owner, 20 Apr 2025M55 was an overheating disaster may be due to the Samsung m... moreActually the M55/F55/M55s was an experiment from Samsung to see if they can market ODM devices at the midrange. Before this all ODM products were A2x, A1x and A0x, same for M series.
Samsung got a deal from Qualcomm on the SD 7 Gen1 and 6 Gen 3 because Qualcomm got worried after the MTK devices M53 and A34 got really popular, popular enough to affect Qualcomm's market share.
So Samsung took those 7 Gen 1 chips and worked with Huaqin to see if they can make a midrange phone around it. One UI on the M55/F55/M55s is substantially different from that on M35/A35/A55/M54. For example, Bixby Vision is missing.
After the feedback on this series, Samsung decided to develop Galaxy A36 as in-house design with the SD 6 Gen 3 chips.

Hamood111, 21 Apr 2025Hahaha that's why I left Samsung long time ago bad pro... moreTo be fair: For the past few years, Motorola have done really well in providing excellent value-for-money devices. Their Moto G series and some (not all) of their Edge series have been fantastic in terms of features relative to price. Just look at the Motorola G34, G45, Edge 50 Pro, and Edge 60 Stylus.
They do have their drawbacks, mind you, such as difficult disassembly, pricing in certain markets, and now it seems they are going the way of many other companies in limiting the number of frequency bands being supported for certain markets. But you have to acknowledge that their budget and mid-range devices have actually been quite good.

Instead of 14-15 ban... moreMy comment was relating to the Exynos 1480 itself. It is quite a decent SOC, mind you.
Just to be clear: The SOC is good. It has more than decent performance, excellent thermals, excellent in terms of energy efficiency. The Galaxy M56 device as a whole is not good, for all the reasons you mentioned.
Such a shame.

Didn't last ye... moreM55 was an overheating disaster may be due to the Samsung made Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 inside it. It got 2.2/5 stars at one time on Amazon India, before being discontinued.
Then, Samsung relaunched them as F55 and M55s with better QC checks, all failed. Some customers did get good units though, I'm not denying this.

Highlander1978, 17 Apr 2025Unspecified by maker does not necessarily mean that there i... moreAfter reading your comment, I searched for M56, went to Samsung website and checked the description, no mention of memory card slot of any kind.
Then, I checked the online user manual, and it confirms our fears- there's no support for microSD slot. Only 2 nano SIM cards go in the tray, nothing else.
So there you have it:- no memory card slot. :'( Sad for what is just a midranger phone.
