nooooo!!! keep away symbian. i thought symbian already dead. don't say symbian is still alive.. haha. android is way way better than symbian, and 5800 sucks big time.

You are out of luck -- maybe it cost $600 at launch. they did say it is high-end, meaning expensive :P

Blame the processor and the samoled screen. they bring the price up.

If this phone costs 500 bucks or less, I will take it. I need a new phone, and I like the specs and design of this device. Also, I like the fact that it is smaller than 4"-- 4" is way too big for me. LED flash is also a good addition.

I hope it doesn't lag or crash, like the 1st issue of galaxy s.

I have tons of questions I want to ask about the phone:
                    1) Is the GPS okay on this device? coz I heard galaxy phones have the GPS bug on it.

                    2) Is the camera good? coz I use the camera and the LED flash a LOT OF TIMES daily.

                    3) How big is the BATTERY on this thing? I hope whatever it is, its not as small as that on the wildfire s -- 1230 amp, or else I will cry... it should be a crime to make cellphones with puny batteries, coz it makes the device useless. A phone without power, is like a car without gas -- a big hunk of junk.

                    4) How big is the Internal memory and RAM of this device? I hope its not just 380mb, or it will be a deal-breaker for me. I just learned the hard way that even if you got froyo 2.2, you still need to save SOME apps into the internal memory, and you cant do that with a puny internal memory of less than 500mb.

I hope this device comes out in April, like they say on the web. Can't wait to read the review!!!!!!!

i don't think that this cutie really gets super amo-led.

case it really has a super amo-led display there is no question this is the absolute highlight this year.

not as bulkie as most of the 4,3" generation and enormous power inside.
a phone that really lasts for years .. no more reason for an upgrade - except the fun of it.

just hope its not a snapdragon

Anonymous, 21 Mar 2011I am more interested to know if it is single or multi core ... moreIt's probably singe Core, because it is supposed to be a mid-range smart phone, not a high-end one. 1.4 GHZ singe Core CPU is enough in these days! Samsung is a great company. They added the Led Flash on their latest phones as well. :D

Good news, been waiting for a phone like that from Samsung to replace my Wave( which is a very good phone). Galaxy 1 or 2 far too big. Would like to see the new coming Xperia mini first. Nokia definitely dying.

Bet this thng will cost about $650 unlocked. If so, I won't buy it. Mid-range phones already cost MORE than a 32" LCD TV as it is (around $350), so why pay more?

Im still waiting for a phone that has all the stuff of this galaxy s mini-- but for less than $500 bucks. Guess i have long, long, very long time to wait...
