Mimi , 02 Nov 2011I have done that but still no luck Mr. Fakrul... :-(I'm not really understand which part your problem is. You want to share your phone 3G internet connection with laptop, right? Your problem is you can't enabled Wifi hotspot.
Did hospot icon appeared on top left your phone screen? Your laptop can see galaxy mini hotspot (SSID) name?
Have you enable 'Use Packet Data' on Mobile Network setting?
Can you browsing internet properly via 3G or EDGE connection?
Please double check again 'Mobile AP' are already checked/enabled with network security and SSID name. If still not success then you've to refer this problem to Samsung mobile dealer.

ics, 02 Nov 2011hi mr fakrul, do you think android 4.0 come to this phone? Official Android 4.0 for Galaxy Mini? No.. not a chance. Android 4.0 will only be available for decent and high end phone only. Not even powerful LG Optimus 2X are confirmed will not have taste of 'Ice Cream Sandwich' update - It's not compatibility issue but simply marketing strategy.
The good news is we might be update from unofficial firmware which are the android programmer already working on latest custom Rom (Gingerbread 2.3 + Honeycomb 3.0)

X8 has 320x480 display w/o multitouch but Mini has only 240x320 screen with support multitouch. Moreover also X8 internal memory at only 128Mb while Mini got 180Mb storage.
Galaxy Mini are practically still the best compared with other competitors among on it class.

Make sure you've already activate and configure Mobile Ap from menu Wireless and Networks - Tethering and portable hotspot.

Hi FAKRUL u said u can outperformed current clockspeed... moreI use SetCPU for overclock/underclock my Galaxy Mini and Galaxy S. However only rooted phone with superuser mode can do this to overide system kernel. This tool already provided with custom ROM (CyanogenMod 7.1) but firstly it need to flash Kernel Mod (TASS_OC by tj_style) with Odin.
Let me remind you this is only for expert and your phone might be unstable, oftenly restart, boot failure or crash due to higher clock frequency than current 600Mhz clock speed - Need experiment to achieve best/stable frequency. abhiiii, 01 Nov 2011A superb phone but lacks ram after much usage on internet ... moreDon't overuse your cheap phone. Galaxy mini is an entry level phone with complete function but it's simply for basic internet and application. It can't replace PC, laptop or tablet for heavy usage. Always clear cache /history and RAM after browsing internet or use system cleaner apps for easily removing unnecesary files.
