i cannot use my camera because it has been locked..does anyone here know's how to unlock it?the camera settings are shown but i cannot access it..thanks

Except for the plastic body, the 1200mah small battery and the 320x240 pixels resolution..all the other things are good..the only thing i hate about it is the battery draining too fast!

I had the Galaxy Mini for almost a year and it served its purpose well, its more of a phone rather than a multi-talented smartphone that sings, dances and shows up the competition.
It will browse the net, play your music and most importantly send/recieve SMS and phone calls, capture your photos, it can also throw an attempt at running a select few games that dont require Flash or a dedicated graphics processor.
The Galaxy Mini will crash if you throw too much at it, it wont run through hoops and the only downside to its basic inventory is screen density and colour and the camera which at 3.2MP is better used outside or in a well-lit area. You know its a cheap phone, you cant expect alot.
This phone is for those who want a budget Android smartphone with basic features and wont be disappointed when it lets you down every now and then.

jc, 05 Jun 2012im using this unit for almost 7 months, just yesterday when... moreThis happened also my mini. The cause was I only had two home pages available both full to brim. I installed an app which wanted to create a home screen icon, with no space and a buggy app to boot it corrupted the home screen data file.
I am assuming that you can't run anything as the error pops up continually not allowing you into settings or to run an app (that was my problem)
Two methods to fix this.
Method 1.
If the wifi is still active or your data is on you could install another home page launcher from the market via pc to your mini. Once installed reboot the phone. You should now get a choice as to which launcher. Select the newly download one. You could then clear the data from stock launcher to see if the stock launcher starts to work again.
If that fails
Method 2 - Factory reset.
Press and hold POWER + ENTER button then you should enter the recovery menu. Select Factory reset (Volume down to move down). Press home button. Volume down to accept option the press Home button again. This will wipe all apps, contacts etc stored on internal mem and refresh phone to factory settings.

Your sound file should now be selectable for notifications.
