Bought one yesterday, and the internal space is NOT 4GB, its 2GB. That was a big let-down, since I chose this over Sony Tipo ONLY because of more space.
So Beware.

This phone actually seems pretty COOL!!! Might just give a heads up before I can nudge my dad to purchase it from our nearby SAMSUNG store...AWESOME JOB guys, we are loving the new developments...Keep 'em comin' #peace;D

OTA after downloading it said it had "Stability Improvements".
Differences I've noticed so far:
1. Play Magazines & Play Music as default apps. I couldn't access the former, though.
2. MusicFX app now accessible (through Play Music -> Menu -> Equalizer or the MusicFX option in PowerAMP, etc).
3. Video Players such as MX Player are now able to adjust the screen brighness, previously that wasn't working for me.
Has anyone been able to root yet?

I have been using this phone for last two months. It is a good phone with some smart features, but not as good as full-fledged smartphones. Here's why:
1. The hardware specification does not entirely satisfy Android ICS. Lags experienced in multitasking & gaming/music/functional apps, and even in normal operation sometimes. Also, it doesn't give all the facilities/abilities of ICS.
2. Battery drains lot faster with any type of data transfer on (internet, gps, wifi etc.), disappointing while on the go.
3. Music button: the biggest flaw of the phone - stays on even the phone is screen-locked. Starts playing songs if accidentally pressed somehow. You are in your boss's room and it makes the phone sing with one unwanted press on that - truly embarrassing! This is the troublemaker!!
I don't have any complain against its camera because it gives quite a good performance. Resolution is also good. This is not a DSLR afterall! With a simple photo editor app you can get great pictures out of it. For sharing purpose, that's enough I think.
Regular phone features are fine. Call/SMS/Email system is good as it should be.

hsb, 28 Mar 2013Today I got WAMC1 firmware update.Anyone else got it yet ? ... moreYeah, I also got a S6012XWAMC1 update when checking for update from my phone, it was nearly about 39MB of update. After updating my phone, I noticed that the music player running the songs very smoothly without any lagging. Previously, it hangs the player for sometime. Also a new app is installed "Play Music" by Google which is just like iTunes from apple. Another thing is that there is a bit of Performance improvement and quick touch response. Already it has been declared by samsung that galaxy music, galaxy chat, galaxy ace 2, galaxy mini2 will get jelly-bean update near to the month October-2013, it is going on testing according to sammobiles. Don't wait, just go for it. It is also equipped with GPU of Videocore based on Open GL 2.0, that means you can run most of the games such as Temple Run 2, subway surfers etc. Don't Expect GTA Vice City, Mordern Combat 4, prince of persia.

Hello, It says planned JB upgrade, is JB for this phone released yet ? Compared to advertised talk time /standby time, how much stand by time phone is getting with Data off in real world after 1 full recharge ?

how i change ringtone which i download. there is no option to select download ringtunes. only we select default tones (which is in set).
