I love this phone. Still using mine and in all but one respect is like new. It's getting a bit tired with age, though, and on the rare occasion seems slow. Sadly, I may need to retire it in 2021. Right now, I'm playing it by ear and hoping it will hang in there at least a couple of more years.

Dimitris, 30 Nov 2020Just found it. I used it like 4 years ago. Pumped in Androi... moregot mine for s4, mhl cable. dont look for usb 3.0 you wont find any

Note 3 after using it for 7 years review
        1. Still usable with subtle lag
        2. Overheat even with light usage
        3. Screen still looks pretty. Slight burn in on top
        4. Flashed android 10 custom rom. Freakin smooth and amazing!
        5. Volume and home button missing after numerous drops over the years
        6. Zero screen shatter after numerous drops over the years.
        7. Changed battery few times. Still mediocre battery performance.
        8. S pen still usable but missing button.

After all these years, I'm shocked that it still can operate. This goes to show note 3 is a high quality smartphone despite the plastic build which helped so much with durability.

Still and will forever love my Note 3.

Just found it. I used it like 4 years ago. Pumped in Android 10 and it works like a charm.
The only downside is that it supports MHL but I cannot seem to find a microUSB 3.0 to HDMI cable and its sad :(

Freaking amazing phone. This phone has basically everything I want from a phone without important features cut off. It has a standard and great 16:9 1080p screen, physical home button, headphone jack (that's a feature now apparently), good enough camera for still shots (no OIS though :( ), one of the best 32 bit SoCs, a bottom firing speaker (which the Note 4 ditched), and all with a removable battery. I think the latest 5.0 Samsung firmware already on it is quite lame and not much stuff supports it. I would heavily recommend custom ROMming this thing to Android 10 (yes, it can do it without lag) and choose HavocOS (because LineageOS is horrible compared to HavocOS on it). Its screen is comfortably sized for basic single handed use. If you're getting one, don't get the 16GB version. If you want to save tons of money, you can choose getting this phone, I think it even compares to the newer mid-range phones like the A21S. About the charging port: It isn't horrible, believe me. It is tons better than microUSB 2.0 because it doesn't jiggle around and you're getting fast speeds. I guess you could use it as a music player if you want to but I think it is kinda big, I would recommend something less powerful than it.

I bought a new one battery and noticed that my Note 3 battery last about 4-5 days, if I'm not using phone. But if I start to use my Note 3, it last a couple of hours. What to do? How to upgrade to normal Android version, that battery would last normal - at least a full day?
