r1, 05 Jul 2016Just contacted samsung support here they said that devices ... moredid they mention note 3? im waiting on marshmallow for my note edge. it will take time to get to everyone i suppose. but good to hear.

wish i can find at budget phone that runs better than note 3! none out there has the perfomance, good ram, big screen etc etc that flagship note 3 has. sony and samsung make the best phones! and note series is the best to come from samsung. cant beat note series one, three and four and edge! cant comment on note 2. but im sure it was good as well:)

AnonD-365057, 06 Jul 2016Fully agree with you. thanks:) but i really believe samsung should give note 3 at least 5.1.1 to solve users problems. as you know and like i said these flagship phones cost a lot and users have every right to comment about updates. wether note 3 gets it i dont know. but we can hope. Enjoy your phone for what it was bought for,flagships cost a hell of a lot of money,and as we all know money dusnt come easy,budget phones do the same and in my case a lot more than my note 3 did,radio with rds recording,record my songs now free of charge,flagships or past flagships as the note 3 is now is a phone that needs to be left alone with kitkat running smoothly on it,stop wowrying about updates,updates do more harm than good,enjoy ;-)

And i didnt buy it until march 2014. thats why we should get even 5.1.1 update on note 3 if nothing else. anyone who pays high price for phone is entitled to updates as some older phones got 5.1.1. so why shouldnt note 3. and im sure many note 3 users will agree.

r1, 03 Jul 2016You have to change the battery once in 2yrs cause battery h... moreyeah im sticking with my note 3. i like to have extra batteries. samsung can keep thier note 7. just cant believe they wont give note 3 5.1.1 update. i know i will never receive security patch level in my note 3 now. ive never recieve it.

Silly manufacturers (and carriers for locked phones users). Ripping people with 500+bucks worth of phones only to have it abandoned after 2 years.
I'd like to see note 7 users whine about lack of updates in 2019/2020. Unless they changed their phones by that time.

I wouldn't mind old software but we would be open to security issues.
But at the same time, updated software leaves you to the whims of Google and their cohorts.
