They made to do a bit of everything so you don't have to carry a bag full of other devices to make up for what the devices can't do like things were in the 80s or how iPhone is now...
Because some people have limited data and sometimes you just in an area with no signal so having an FM radio with you all the time means you always have some kind of entertainment while lesser phones become little more than a brick in your pocket.

I am convinced that SGN3 will have FM radio. Here is why: 1. Note 1 and Note 2 both have it 2. Snapdragon 800 supports it 3. Samsung is probably well aware by now that a lot of people use this feature in the whole world and that part of them didnt buy G4 because it lacked this feature 4. I just emailed them that I wouldnt be buying it unless they have it on board :). I am going to go for LG Optimus G Pro instead. Great smarthone and phablet also.

This seems to be a great phone, solid features, nice memory upgrade. The only thing I don't understand is why is Samsung capable of making a 8 cores cpu but unable to put it on all its units, why not just sacrifice some of those cores and create a radio chip that can handle all the freqs used world wide so it just sells one solid unit instead of diversifying by markets. Also these one unit been a business phone, should come with dual sim capability standard, not limited to just one market, this phone has big enough housing to put all this stuff in without issue. Once again I feel disappointed by Samsung for the lack of vision in that sense.

I hope I could have this someday!!!!!!!!!!!!! The quality is great but how about the price, I hope samsung will think always if the people can buy this kind of product. Maybe only rich people can buy this, but how about the ones with no large salary? How can they buy this, they want it but how can they purchase it? So I hope that samsung should lower the price and by that I think all people will like more all the product of samsung. It has good quality but how about the price? Can all the people afford it? I hope they will think about that. I'm excited to have this maybe after 5 years because I know the price is too high, I can't afford to purchase this immediately.

Sure, maybe only 20% of users would use this 5% of the time but its just another tick in the box..... also, not everyone has large data packs or is always in 3G/4G coverage to use streaming.

Guys it's priced for 300$ on contract and 700$ off contract on at&t. And In India it would be coming at approx 46k which is decent even after the rupee fall. Very less chances in India that note 3 would be above 50k. Check it guys- www.engadget.com/2013/09/06/att-samsung-galaxy-note-3-pre-order/

However by the time I sell the old phone and claim the new one on tax it's free anyway... Plus it has a fresh 12 month warranty :-)

Missing FM Radio in samsung galaxy note3 is a big mistake ... Most people around the world are still interested in using FM transmitters ... What difference does it make for samsung firm to provide it ? ... I wouldn't upgrade my Note2 to Note3 because of that !!!

Using note 2 and it's simply awesome... samsung please bring offers for note 2 owners to upgrade to note 3. just bought note 2 a few months back.

lol its unbelievable you dinosaurs are ranting on about an fm radio. Seriously it doesn't come with a cup holder, or a drool bib for that matter. If you are so concerned about an fm radio go buy yourself a prepaid Nokia device and you will feel like the tech savvy peep you are.

I thing that it has also stereo speaker at top of the both side. It has also facility that bluetooth microphone headset record sound while video recording via stereobluetooth. Its comes with outer micro sim card slot like as micro SD card slot; & inner mini sim card slot,its comes with dual sim.

the phone is very good larger screen than note 2 and beat up any phone in any respect that what Samsung engg want to do.
