When I see Samsung I said best Hardware but internally meaning best CPU, Ram, Memory, screen, Antenna, ect... This options did work perfectly at the time Google was not mature like the iPhone OS which still very stable, smootly usable and well optimazed.
I said Google is the best on software to easilly and fast bring android OS to almost the stage of iOS and taking avantage on it in mamy ways and becoming very mature and stable.
From the GS1 with android 2.1 to the GS4 with android 4.2.2 we come see how Samsung hardware always on top did bring success to the Android world and the Note 3 with the high specs combine with android 4.3 can still make it and will be a success.
But Google planned to release the Android 5.0 which will not need this 3GB Ram and S800 CPU to run smootly. This game of Samsung can turn to be like the Nokia one. Top selling Nokia was with best hardware got beaten by Appel iPhone with better software and could buy quality internal hardware by Samsung!
Google just need 5 years after buying Moto to end Samsung succed in the Android market. Raison why Google keep the game equal because Google can low is phone prices for almost no profit but keep on making money on the Software department as usual. Actually it's good for Google if Samsung sell a lot of Android phones but Google enjoing the hardware too and now with this Google glass which gonna be made by Moto and that technology is already on the first born Google Moto X as called powering the X8 Chipset.
I used an Samsung phone with Windows 8, I couldn't get more than 5 munite with it but was having same hardware the my Note.
I'm seeing a big conflit between Google and Samsung in the long term or also partenership if the upcoming Samsung OS failed and choose to be like Windows and Nokia. Because without Android OS Samsung will lose big time but Google with Moto and so many companies that makes android phones will hardly loose.
But at this stage the Note 3 is a clear winner but hope this high specs won't make the phone too expensive.

I do need a removable battery and SD slot in everyphone. Its my major need after an excellent camera and elegant design + build material.
However, it's a smart strategy but we all are humans. That's just the perfect answer.

Anyway Samsung is listening to their fans, this is the cause we see devices with removable battery and micro SD slot. Now there are rumors, they are going to change the design of their upcoming phones. This thing help them as well, do not say I am wrong, because I know there are many people who wants a removable battery and a micro SD slot. Now Samsung entered in the waterproof game as well, and in the camera oriented game.

There could be a lot of reasons it is on the top of the interest list before even announcing for more than enough reasons. Check out the comments. Some people even have commented "top wow" which increases some points in the daily interest chart.
The only thing which defines true interest is by total interest and by user rating.
Samsung Galaxy S3 and S2 were the beasts and still are. They deserve to be on top while third position goes to N8 in interest list. Now, it's getting old by bumping just cores and ram in a smartphone with the increasing size.

Samsung has sales which generates revenue so advertising everywhere can be seen. Even the low end phones are advertised like high end phones. Other companies don't that. Samsung got billions of Dollars to waste on advertisement while other companies even if got billions, use it for engineering. Even though, it's quite logical other companies if don't have abnormal revenue won't be able to advertise their phone in ever part of the world which means not more than Samsung sales. Make's sense?
It's not them have to learn. They are providing everything on its full potential. Keep Nokia's history in mind. The record sale of 250 million units of just a single cell phone. But look, now it's hardly reaching 10 million with all of it's combined smartphone. It's the rule of life, what goes up must comes down. After prosperity, there is recession.
I am not someone who can predict the future exactly but as many and many companies are trying to make competition, it will be harder for Samsung to retain it's best position.

It's funny, that it is not announced yet, but it's the most popular device on the site. Samsung is famous, and they have a very good marketing strategy. When other brands will learn from the king of smart phones?

Note 3 with 3 gb RAM can not help the performance become better. While the next generation of Android 5 just need less RAM. Samsung is one of vendor with no expert in optimalization.
