I can use S-pen to write anything but when i try to use S-pen to write something in text recognision mode i get an error "Direct pen input has stopped working". I did a factory reset . In fact i do twice this thing. I do because i believed that was some kind a virus , because whenever I triedto syncronize google account from settings i got error: "Settings has stopped". Now i stiil have problems when i try to syncronize the google account from settings plus with S-pen. Now, is not a big problems but i wish to solve both of them....Thanks for help

Danish, 19 Jun 2016Is Marshmallow releasing for Note 3 ???NO NO and NO,never will,its stucknon the dreaded lollipop I'm afraid,remember if its not broken then don't break it,hopefully there's still ppl out there on kitkat with this ageing flagship,my advice is stay on it and enjoy a problematic free phone ;-)

Note 3 my last phone i think. Don't find any phone can compete this. Especially screen, performance and features. I'm still using Kitkat os. Zero problem.

Note is a powerful phone,its performance is superb unlike the s5 I was using.i suggest even if note 3 is not getting 6.0, al least it should have 5.1.1 update like the Neo
note 3 should not be left out just like that
Samsung should about us not only dropping new handsets nd 4gettin the old ones

note 3 i think is capable of running 6.0 i think note 3 should have got at least 5.1.1. neo got it and it has lest specs. it just because it came out a year later according to samsung. but note 3 i have 2yrs and 4 months. so i dont think its old in terms of performance and running 5.0 on my model n9005 is smooth and no problems. im happy with that. my fav note.

to that person! i and any other users dont have sleepless nights worrying about updates. every comment you post says the same as last commment! lol! and YES updates are important. its part of using a smartphone. note 3 is not old if its looked after. if it performing well. yes if it stays on 5.0 with no problems thats good. its not written in stone that having a phone for 2 yrs is old! wach person has thier own opinin about thier phone. so stop repeating it! many users and me including admit its a pleasure to own note 3! personally for me its my fav note! so no i deff dont have problems or sleepless nights over my note 3!

AnonD-550393, 18 Jun 2016At least this a business for Samsung thats because they lau... moreexactly friend. samsung, sony etc its all about marketing. sony always gets updates on time which is good as updates are important. but we as customers of samsung we need updates. wether note 3 will get marshmallow as accordding to samsung it does have the specs to run marshmallow. but they dont give out much info. but they say they are testing it on older flagship models time will tell. but it would be good for some users on n900.

At least this a business for Samsung thats because they launch every year a new one and they forget about older models, no matter if they are capable of running the new OS, is just pure marketing.

Sorry but theres a reason why we will never see these two devices getting any major Android update anymore. Major updates like Android 6.0 Marshmallow demand better hardware, better CPU, more RAM, etc. While the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 are powerful, they are just not capable enough of running Marshmallow.
At least thats what Samsung believes.
And anyway, the devices have long crossed their 2-year mark, which is the industry standard for receiving new updates.
The only way Note 3 can get Android 6.0 is CyanogenMod or any other custom ROM, but there will be no official update for the Note 3.
