Very capable phone. I upgraded to Android 10 (crdroid, search it, they have webpage), and it's blazing fast. Better than kitkat 4.4 at his time. 1 year ago replaced battery. With crdroid android 10 rom i get solid 2 days with medium usage and a full day with high usage (like 6-7 hours+ internet browsing/youtube).

I love it more than my more recent s10e. The only thing is not up to date with 2020 is the camera, but still decent. Everything else works like a charm.

Best phone ever for me too. I have glass protection on screen and sropped the phone 3 times with the glss surface hitting concrete and rock. :)) tempered glass protection cracked in 3 different places, but the screen underneath still going strong. If i drop it one more time i'm thinking to replace the tempered glass protection from the screen. Meanwhile.... a colleague of mine... dropped s6 edge on the ground, 1hit 1 broken screen :)))))))

    A week ago I bought Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM N9005. At first I made hard reset and saw that Android version is became 5.0. Battery is very poor. I just want ask how can I downgrade to Lollipop version?

      my note 3 after update android 5 lolipop, getting hotter fast and battery draining fastest. downgrade back to android 4.4.2 kitkat.. everything running well and smooth again. until now my phone still running well. best phone.. strong style phone

I don't regret doing it then as I've been using the phone till now, meanwhile blew new life into it flashing with Android 9 (10 proved to make too many features malfunction).

                How about location services on the custom ROM and practical navigation experience e.g. with gmaps? Which specific custom ROM have you selected?
                As to the battery, mine still lasts for a full day with a reasonable phone usage. I am currently on HavocOS 2.9 (Android 9.0). With Lineage 17 (droid 10), Chrome browser caused the phone to freeze. With HavocOS, Lineage 16 & 17, GPS has taken ages to find a fix.

                    I'm using this phone since 2013, the only issue is the battery it only last for two hours and I upgrade to latest Android 10 custom from and still working perfectly.

                        I had kept the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on the top of my fridge to save it from children. Unfortunately it fell down, didn't display. I took it to the repair shop. The panel was found to be broken. The cost to repair the panel was Rs. 9000 (about half the price of the set itself). So I sold it for just Rs. 1000.

                          purchased in 2013 still working in 2020 but after upgrade to android 5.0 brand new battery now lasts 1-2 hours without doing anything on phone and with screen off.

                                The best smartphone ever built. Top end tech even before age. I bought it in 2013 and replaced it with Note 10+ in 2020 after 7 years and still working.

                                    One of the best phone Samsung has ever built. If it wasn't for the weak GPS positioning (probably due to age), I would definitely keep it until Solid State Battery arrives. (Was replaced with m31 at June 2020).

                                        I am still using Samsung Note3, 7 years+, it is good only, I change only battery 2 years before, Now I cant found the battery in the market.
