Didnt have to do factory reset after update. When i updated to kk 6 months of problems i had. Paid apps didnt work. Sviwer didnt work. Laggy and slow until stability updates fixed it. Wasnt going to update to 5.0. But i took the plunge and I was lucky with 5.0 on my model. Worked great until last stability update whiched caused internet crashes. Received update and it solved that problem. My partner has n9005 model on 5.0 and hes had no problems either. I quess its down to luck. N900 model seems to have the most problems. They need the update. I personally couldnt go back to kk. 5.0 is nice on my note 3. Note edge 5.1.1 is good to. Sorry you are having problems.

Use a hair dryer on it till it too hot to touch then put it in some cold rice for couple of hours. Then put your battery and sd card and sim card in and turn on your phone. Sometimes this works. If it dosnt then it would be cheaper to buy new phone. Hope this helps.

can you p... moreI received update for the problem with internet crashes since last stability update caused it. 5.0 worked great on my note 3 before that. So update has solved the internet problem. I also received an update on my note edge. Still at 5.1.1. But samsung says note edge is down for marshmallow. But it will take few months to get it. As you know samsung are slow at pushing firmware updates out and because also carriers take long to push update out to phone! Vodafone expecailly!

AnonD-516181, 25 Mar 2016will I see marshmallow on my note3 one day? I replyed to you. But it hasnt shown up. I emailed samsung few days ago. I received a reply from them and they said note 3 isnt down to get it as yet. And just to keep checking thier website. Maybe we will one day, i dont know. Be good expecially for n900 model which needs it most. My note 3 got update for the internet crashes. So my model N9005 is running well again now on 5.0.

In my note 3 i got update for internet crashing. So 5.0 running well on note 3 n9005 now. Great! Note edge is getting 6.0 according to samsung. But dont know when as it will take months to receive it. But it would be nice having 6.0 on note 3. Time will tell so to speak.

nick, 25 Mar 2016hey there i am note 3 neo user want a suggestion from you g... moreIf you think a 2yr old phone is worthy of spending on it then go for it,but me personaly i think theres other alternatives out there,specialy chinese phones that cost next to nothing,im using one for £35 quid and loving it,radio,sd card and removable battery are a must for me,oh and duel sim aswell ?

hey there i am note 3 neo user want a suggestion from you guys.. i accedently dropped my note3neo in water and the screen has gone but mother board is working should i invest 8.5k for the screen or buy a new phone ..

If it's possible, don't update your note 3!! It's the worst thing that ever happened to my phone. It was perfectly fine before the update, although the front camera kinda sucks under low light.
A few minutes before the update, it suddenly lagged and froze to white screen. I removed the battery and restarted it a few times but it didn't work. It went back to normal eventually and it shown that the recent firmware is now available so I checked it and it updated. It got even worse.
So I ignored the phone for a few hours. I checked it again and it worked perfectly fine for exactly 2 months. I downloaded some games which made me really addicted. Unfortunately, the lagging and freezing occurred again. I was told to reprogram it. Our wifi sucks so I'll go to a technician to do it for me.
Again, if it's possible, don't update this awesome phone. It was perfect the way it was.

Samsung has released internet 4.0 for lollipop and marshmallow
