I can't believe it, but most versions of the Note 3 got builds for LineageOS 16.0 (Android 9 Pie) mid August 2019. It's been almost 6 years. Check out the official LineageOS website.

I don't know if this falls under the unsupported model that you mentioned in your post. What I do know is that Youtube has a lot of random people posting about how to update the Note 3 to a newer OS however the majority of videos don't have any support links and of those that do they don't seem to be the software used in the videos. It's frustrating because the Note 3 is a great phone even though it is older, it's a brick house and it won't die on me so I want to keep it running. Thank you again for your reply and support.

The latter two (the models with LTE based on Snapdragon CPUs) have official community support by the LineageOS project which will give you Android Pie, and installation instructions are provided on that project's wiki page.
Unfortunately, N9000 (the model with 3G and an Exynos CPU) isn't currently supported anymore.

I nee... moreAs far as official operating systems from the manufacturer, you will not get anything newer than Android 5.
If you're willing to use an open source community-supported ROM, and your bootloader is unlockable (they might not all be) then it's possible to get Android 9.0 with (for example) LineageOS.

I have had the Note 3 since it first came out and have had no issues. It could also be a potential issue with the channel your wifi router is broadcasting at, I had that one time. My Note 3 wifi was working everywhere but at home and when I researched the solution was to change the broadcast channel, that worked.

Still have my Note 3 since it was released. I have dropped in countless number of times, even in a hot tub as well as a puddle after a rain story (dirty brown water) and it still works very well. Obviously after 6yrs of having this phone it is showing normal wear and tear. The only issue I have with it is that it has started to slow down, certain apps crash when I try to use them, and it has some minor glitches from time to time. Any suggestions on what I can do? I still have the old Lollipop 5.0 OS on it which was the last upgrade in 2015, how can I upgrade the OS?

Still use mine, no issues, nut also not using original rom any more. Just updated to Oreo alternative one. Let's see how it works.

hmm........so nun of u hav any problems wit wifi. this phone jus pisses me off. luved it wen wifi was working but now its jus stupid. this the second time now wifi has craped. the first time i hard reset the phone n bought a new modem/router. solid phone unti i start messin wit bluetooth then wifi jus goes to hell. anyone else?
