    Ok peoples.

If money isn't an option... would you get the Note 4 OR the Note edge and why?

Personally its the Note 4 because of a bigger battery, narrower body and bigger screen... BUT i am starting to see some really useful options with the edge screen.

AnonD-77443, 04 Sep 2014Here are my thoughts on the Note 4 announcement. 1) I pr... moreYou will be upgrading to the Note 4 no matter what. I'm not saying it's not a fantastic device, however I just don't see anything compelling for me to upgrade to some features that I think I don't really need.

The camera "upgrade" is nice, which should have been on the Note 3 as I find it hard to focus the camera for. However, I find myself usually setting my resolution to a lower 8MP as the file sizes are more manageable for storage. Even for video, 480p to 1080p is good enough. I hardly do a 4k video which take up over 1GB of space for a 5-minute video.

The Note 4 going back to USB 2.0 is a disappointment. Yeah, the fast charging integration is welcomed, but what's stopping that with the USB 3.0? The USB 3.0 makes good high speed transfers to my laptop, especially I can download some 1GB of torrents daily.

The Note 4's speakers are placed at the back is another step back. Samsung should really consider designing them for front facing, like funneling the speaker output at the edge. The Note 3's bottom firing speakers were more logical than putting it behind.

The metal sides are fine, which is like a .7mm aluminum frame edge I placed on my Note 3. The stitch edge was taken out, and now there is no transition of the leather texture to the metal - there's something missing right there.

I just feel the Note Edge is just to throw off critics into saying that the Note 4 looks the same as the Note 3. I'm not mightily impressed with the Edge, as I already use SwipePad to launch apps easily in one motion. Floating apps windows are already what I'm already doing with MutiWIndow Plus, and even have 3 to 4 split screen windows with it. And the S Pen's new improved twice more level sensitivity of 2048 isn't quite useful for a tiny screen.

Rumors of the Note 4 being more expensive at $800 to $1000+ isn't helping me want it, after seeing it offering less of what I'd want and expect. Well, in any case, I'll see your review of the Note 4 as you as a true user. I'll most likely be getting the Note 5 by next year instead.

Here are my thoughts on the Note 4 announcement.

                1) I prefer the Note 4 to the Note Edge (better battery, narrower body and not 100% sold on the edge concept).

                2) I'm surprised they went back to USB 2 but it doesn't bother me as i transfer with wifi. USB2 is easier to keep clean, looks better and means i dont have a usb3 cable that can't be used on other phones.

                3) I'm a bit surprised there is no water/dust resistance. That said, i'd rather a narrower device.

The main reasons for upgrading for me are the cameras and build quality. Screen quality, performance will all be incremental improvements.

Virtual Reality looks like the next big technology shift. It looks like Samsung is way ahead of the curve on this and its great that it combines with the Note 4. There will be a lot of tech heads from other devices that come over the the GN4 just because of this.

ya dimensions are off cause i have the note 3 and its not a 5.7 cause boost has a phone tht is 5.7 and its way bigger than my phone , these are lies just to sell a phone .

After watching all the videos I could get about the Note 4, I am keeping my Note 3, thank you. I'm finally getting that extended battery for my Note 3, because I don't see myself "upgrading" to the Note 4. I don't buy the increased pixel resolution, or the increased camera resolution, and metal sides. Samsung, I got 4 of your Note products, and I think you had the Note 3 as being the best performance and setting the pace of what a smartphone is suppose to be. I am just in disbelief of some features have been one step back from the Note 3 for the Note 4. Even the absence of the stitch edge made the back look funny now - there's no transition from leather to metal.

I think people who still use Note 2s should really get their money's worth with the Note 3 instead, and at a price more affordable. The sound system on the Note 3 was rated as very good with the position firing from the bottom side just made more sense than facing the back side. The USB 3.0 on the Note 3 is a great help with transferring big amounts of data for me, and reverting back to version 2.0 is not good (if the this is factual).

still the best phone from note family for me. I planed to buy my first note next year but i think it's better to go right now and buy this "old" note instead of note 4

HELP !!! :( P/S: Sorry for my bad english
My note 3 rose gold black running kitkat 4.4 have problems since 3 days ago. Problem is some message people send me i did receive it, some i never received, some delayed in receiving like after a day or 2. I though it was faulty with the sim card so i changed into a new ones, the problem still occured. I also insert other telcos sim card to my note 3 also facing issues with receiving sms. Those sim card insert to other phone no problem at all. Bring to samsung service centre and they could not diagnose anything as they never meet this matter. How is that so? :( Any solutions or and ideas why is it like that?
