The best phone i ever have...Waiting for kitkat official update in Malaysia.. :3

      AnonD-73154, 20 Jan 2014yeah you're right i think I'm going with you..Just don't trust anyone's advice. Research from numerous sources.

It'll cost you the time and even the fees to get your Note 3 fixed, because some poser gave you the wrong advice.

As a general rule for OS updates, just wait for official ones via Kies or from your carriers. These updates aren't usuit'smajor, and there's no point in risking having a bricked device of you don't know how to reverse the process of reinstall the original OS version.

I wait for reviews before installing to see if there are issues with battery performance or radios weakening.

I stick to original ROMs as I experienced crashes with custom ROMs. Rooting is a careful process and I read the necessary research from different sites and a number of video tutorials, and a safety net of reversing the process.

Rooting is necessary if you want to tinker processor, graphics tweaks on some apps, etc. I for one needed to freeze or uninstall some stock apps. I made the security app Cerberus as System app, meaning it's not going to be wiped out with a reboot. This is so I can keep tabs on my phone in the event it's stolen.

He copied it from this site:
            http://androidadvices.com/update-galaxy-note-3-kitkat-442-android-firmware-guide/#.UtxUS5-wrqA

This is another of the many plagiarised advices of this anti-Note 3. He's posing as if he has a Note 3 but can't formulate his own reviews since he doesn't actually have a Note 3.

Once Downloaded, connect your Galaxy Note 3 with the help of original USB cable and place the zip files in the device. Disconnect the device so that it can be entered in the Recovery Mode.
Recovery mode in Galaxy Note 3 can be entered by holding the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device. In recovery mode, select options to clear and wipe the data present in your phone.
In recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” and then choose the zip file of Liquid Smooth KitKat 4.4.2 Android firmware and then the Google Apps Package which you have placed in your phone.
Once the firmware is updated, select “Go Back” and select “reboot system now”. The whole process of firmware update will take around 4 -5 minutes and in some cases it may take more time.
To check on whether the firmware is updated or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” for checking the same where you will see the current firmware version as KitKat 4.4.2.

why there is not any dual sim generation of galaxy note3? it has the specification of s4 and s4 has dual sim option but note3 have not.
in some country for a good acsses to internet you have to use dual sim mobail.
I do not like useing any Alcatel One Touch Hero or LG G Pro Lite Dual or Asus Fonepad Note FHD6
i need a dual sim phone with spen Stylus.

The 9005 get 4.4kitkat in India now..

Regarding proper charging, the best and fastest method is with the Note 3 turned off. The original 2 Ampere rated charger will fully charge it in just above 2 hours. It doesn't matter if the original USB 3.0 or an old USB 2.0 cable is used.

By the way, to take advantage of the USB 3.0 fast transfer from a computer with a USB 3.0, you need to activate or set that option by the Touchwiz pull down menu when connected. You can't get the faster promised data transfers if you don't set it, even using the USB 3.0 cable.

Of course it's slower charged when you're using the Note 3 at the same time.

Any charger or power bank rated lower than 2A will take longer too. A laptop USB port usually has only half an Ampere rating, so expect that to take the longest.

I also suggest to get a battery + desktop battery cradle combo, and take advantage of changing the battery when needed than rather have plugging and waiting for hours to get charged up.
