    GJW, 24 Dec 2013My Note3 battery lasts around 27 hours (including a 9 hours... moreCompared to a Note 2 when I first had it about a year back, a full battery charge in the Note 2 lasted me 18 hours with 6 hours plus on screen time & I was also downloading an average of 1GB of torrents daily.

    The Note 3 is lower than that. It only gives me slightly more than 5 hours of actual screen time, and I hardly downloaded torrents. I can understand the higher pixel count screen, and I've rooted to hibernate and freeze apps that frequent the Internet with Greenify, making them really turned off.

    This is just my heavy usage as I rely on my Note 3 as my main 24/7 Internet source for everything as it has unlimited data subscription. LTE is lightning fast, and this is a battery killer as well. I have yet to get the battery+charger set so that I don't need to charge in the afternoons.

    It's that changeable battery feature that gives the Note an advantage as a better choice over the fixed battery devices. It's more than 2 hours of charging versus 30 seconds of changing the battery to attain 100% charge. That's why I find it silly for die-hard Sony/HTC/Apple heavy users saying that they like carrying a power bank or charger around. I'd rather carry a flat spare battery in my pocket. Power jackets are pretty useless as they only are able to give half a charge and they become dead weight.

        Hello, I'd really love to buy this Galaxy Note 3, but I also like the Nexus 5. Can someone please tell me which is better and worth every penny? Also what are the advantages and disadvantages of both phones?

              Its amazing...
              I used iphone last 5 year,
              But now change my mind samsung note series.... good job samsung

                My Note3 battery lasts around 27 hours (including a 9 hours sleep but still connected to wifi). The phone is always connected to wifi when available and isn't on energy saver mode, I'm constantly using it for messaging, searching the web, youtube, and games so it is not as if I am barely using it. My tips to lengthen your battery life are to always close active apps in the background that you aren't using (easily monitored with the active app widget) and to always let the battery almost drain itself and then fully charge it (using it he least possible whilst charging).

                It is a vast improvement on the Note 1 which would barely last me 10 hours under the same circumstances, even with a higher capacity battery it still only lasted around 16 hours.

                This phone is truly incredible, it is lightning fast and there is no lag when opening up different apps even when using multiple apps, it makes my laptop seem like a snail. The camera is great too, the ultra hd recording is a lovely touch. So for those looking for a powerful phablet, this is the one to get.

Haba...no need for over hyping these things. The device is good but dont add things to make it appear too good. You cant have your data connection on and constantly use your phone for 14hrs and then have 77% battery left. What was your on screen time all these while?

                      I am using note 3 N9000. but battery is very bad. I have to give charge twice daily. phone become hot after using internet. can anyone give me suggestion? what can I do?

                        I bought this phone yesterday, and was quite happy with it. I send loads of texts with it and was very happy with the 3x4 dialpad arrangement used to send my texts. I noticed that there was a software update, so I clicked on it and updated the software, which in retrospect was a bad move and has taught me that if it aint broke then don't fix it.....
                        After the software update I tried to send a text and noticed that the usual 3x4 dialpad arrangement has disappeared to be replaced by the TINY portrait qwerty keyboard, or I can hold the phone sideways and use the only slightly bigger landscape qwerty keypad which is less than ideal if you are trying to use the phone one handed which I have to do.

                        I'm so glad I had the phone only a day and was able to return it this morning to Vodafone. Samsung really shot themselves in the foot with this software update, and looks like it has been rushed out, as it made my music streaming in the car very jerky and slow to respond . WELL DONE SAMSUNG you idiots, you just lost a customer and a sale.......

                          Just got my NOTE 3 N9005 last week and very happy with it. charged the phone last night and watched youtube and made phone calls, facebook, whatsapp, tango, viber all inuse. last 14hrs on and off use so far only used 23% battery.camera is very good too. now no need of my phone and my netbook. this NOTE 3 phablet is this the best. and im very happy with it.10 ot of 10 stars

                                Those are all from other companies developments. Apple didn't come up with them, and they weren't the first.

                                You don't know what Samsung has really with their latest software innovations.
                                Air views is useful with your finger hovering an inch off screen to look to show content of folders,albums,email, messages and videos quickly. You don't need the S Pen for it.

                                The improved S Pen software Air Command is damn practical with scrapbooker and pen window. Scrapbooker simply compiles whatever with URLs, images, text. Very useful whole researching. Pen window gives you floating window apps. Useful that you don't need to close your current app to activate a calculator.

                                IPads don't have multi-talking splits screens. IPads don't have a Wacom digitizer. IPads can't rapidly share files Vida Wi-Fi Direct to ANY other devices. Apple has limited QR coffee scans to only Apple related links. In fact, not even the simplest memory expansion is not present. These are factual.

                                Be stuck with your iPhone and iPad. You seem to be still stuck with 2007/2010 "innovations".

                                  Gents, I bought N9005 one and half month ago and just yesterday I started used the front camera, unfortunately it wasn't alike any other note 3 or even note2 as the picture was dummy and resolution was bad as details are not clear. Is it hardware or software issue? Plz give me ur feedback

I would never be caught being entertained by flipping through screens with a hand air gesture or by d dot that hovers over the screen and I would never pay for such. What I would pay for is practical and relevant innovation that adds value like ipad. Plus ipads last year's whether they fall or whatever. And ipads and I phone's are so perfect all they can do to improve them is just increase the power. FACT
