Water proof or resistance in a phone is one feature that am never gonna wish to have. Why would i even wanna use my phone in the rain, Or inside a pool or what? If my phone has the feature, it will just be there but can never be a deal breaker for me.

Note 3 has a much better user experience in overall terms than any other Android stock phones in the market.

I have 3 S2 and note 2 once, and all of them having motherboard issues (death sudden).Even my old ancient nokia still serve me well. Sorry Samsung, no more Samsung for me..Sony Z1 is the way to go.. yay..

If... moreNo.you are wrong.being Water proof is far more important than what you think.We dont use our phone in many situations like in bath or under rainy weather or in a wet place.these devices are the covered with many types of microbes collected from everywhere and they are even dirtier than toilets!!.im sure it has happened that your smartphone gets dirty and you wish you could wash it,or worth than that,when dust goes through parts of a phone.So as you see being waterproof is very important,but some people like you dont care about it because they have lived with this limitation.So like outdoor visibility its very important,because your smartphone gets completely useless in some situations.

Sony's advertisements with their Xperia products splashing into water is misleading people to believe they can use them long term under water. Salt water will degrade those exposed power receptors on the side faster. I'm surprised they didn't provide a flap seal for it.

If Z1 is so 'good', then you're in the wrong forum. You should be in Sony Z1 forum telling all potential Sony customers how 'good' it is. Waste your time there, not here.
Here Note 3 is the best and no one is forcing you to buy it. No FM Radio? By all means, get one with it.
I think you're envious of Note 3 and dissatisfied with Z1, that's why you're finding fault with the best - Note 3.
Btw, is your work place surrounded by water? Cos the water resistant feature is so important to you. If so, brag about it in Z1's forum. You're more needed there, not here.

People saying that the z1 is waterproof and stuff. AM going to ask you one thing? Can it withstand sea water ? NO. Who gives a damn about taking pictures in the rain or in a swimming pool. If you cant use it in saltwater enviroment then its pointless. What`s the point of taking a flat rectangle surface underwater. The beauty is found under the sea and from what ive read salwater is a big NO NO for the so called "water resistant" devices.

Your reply is not p... moreListen kid, the Z1 is only a water resistant device. Waterproof means it can stay in water indefinitely for hours or days. The Z1 isn't even recommended to be abused to take pictures underwater. It's rating isn't the highest for "waterproof" equipment.
The number of lesser features of the Z1 over the tremendous amount of Note 3 features are the main reasons why people like me would send our money on the Note 3. Not something that is only water resistant. No point in getting something that has less of what you need. Z1 has less battery stamina, no Wacom pen digitizer, small screen, large bezels, not AMOLED screen, less camera features, non-replaceable battery, weak speakers, and screen discolors at angles.
Yeah, I only agree it's good against the rain.

I recommanded that you buy Z1, and compare with your note3 :colour,speed,camera,video,gaming,number of real useful apps(not includes useless ones), durability,design, and other performances!
Don't believe websites!
Try yourself!
