I have been using the Note 3 (N9005) for over 2 days now. Here is a mini review of my impressions.
APPEARANCE & FEEL - The device looks great. The plastic metal edge actually looks good and the faux leather back looks and feels nice. Samsung made a good choice on not increasing the device size. The device feels better in your pocket as its lighter and thinner and it isn't as slippery in your hand.
SCREEN - In one word.... AMAZING. The N2 was a really good screen but this equals or trumps it in every way. It is razor sharp, has whiter whites, great viewing angles, the colours are more natural looking, it is easier to read in sunlight and the screen is brighter. I have seen most high end devices available and nothing beats the GN3.
BATTERY - The battery life is about the same as the N2. With everything still on and syncing i use about 10% per hour web browsing, 9% per hour watching videos and when not in use it is under 1% per hour on wifi and just over 1% on 3G. Charging time is under 2.5 hours from flat.
SOFTWARE - Samsung has made a lot of improvements here. The settings menu is a lot better laid out and the notifications and toggles have a lot more features. All the standard apps have been improved especially the calendar and email apps.
PERFORMANCE - 4G speeds were 3600kB/s down and 2900kB/s up for my only test. DC 3G was 740kB/s down. Antutu scored 35500 which is very high. The N3 is noticeably quicker than the N2 at everything. The sound quality from the headphones is as good as I have heard.
OTHER
- Move apps to SD is available and works well.
- The S-pen sensitivity and functions are a lot better but it doesn't feel as strong.
- Air view (where you hover your finger over something for extra detail… like a mouse) is really handy and doesn't get enough attention. It works really well on messages, calendar and especially email.
- Call quality actually seems better from either end.
ON THE DOWNSIDE:
- There is no FM radio
- The camera controls aren't as simple to use.
- I had a couple of reboots on the first day but these seem to have gone now.
- The gallery app takes about 10 seconds to show anything. I am using QuicPic instead which works great.
- When installing a heap of apps the phone may have been a couple of degrees warmer than the GN2. When not in use it is around 27 which is fine. The highest I have seen when using a lot of 4G data was 37 degrees.
- The single speaker is nothing flash. It is better on the bottom but there should be 2 and they should be stronger.
- When i reboot it actually reboots again after getting to the home screen and then allows me in. PLEASE FIX ASAP SAMSUNG!!
Overall the GN3 is better than the GN2 in almost every way. Probably not as big a step up as the note 2 was over the note but still a great upgrade and arguably the best phone available.

have this phone for 2 weeks, quad core 4G variant, overall performance is superb, but most thing i hate, while browsing phone tend to get warm around camera and brightness will be automatically dimm, even i have disable auto adjust screen tone,manual setting and etc. When this happen there is warning in brightness setting that maximum has been lower down to avoid overheat sort of. I already use to holding hot s3 as i tend to browse alot, is there any fix for it?

N9000 not fast as I expected but it useful :)

I love it its realy cooool I wish I can get 9005 but ln nig only available 9000. I thing I no understand I only get note3 but no able get gar watch with it to buy or free, and in pakistan salsas with it $800 .whay not in Nigeria .in here is $700 . I can evan buy it but not available

When I look at purchasing a note 3, no one states whether it is the 32g or 64g (internal) model they are selling. Will the US carriers sell the 64g model and if so, how can I be sure that is what I am purchasing? I also looked at sites like Bestbuy.com and no one seems to define which storage they are selling. Any thoughts? I guess I could contact each seller but that takes forever.

Why?
N9005 has LTE
N(005 has a Snapdragon CPU, rather than Exynos
N9005 will be more widespread than the N9000
Better developer support for the N9005

Web browsing uses around 10% per hour.
Video uses around 9% per hour.
Standby on wifi is under 1% per hour.
These usages are with several email accounts in sync and everything on.
Even with heavy use I can get through a 16 hour day.
Light use would do 2 days comfortably.

Do you experience severe lagness on your S3?
I have motorola razr xt910 and samsung S3 I can clearly notice that S3 lags more than the razr. I was disappointed somehow for S3 is quadcore. huhu
