Gerald Damian, 21 Sep 2013Of course 9005 ..processor wise & network Nah, N9005 is better in terms of LTE advantage. If you have wide coverage of LTE network in your country and don't mind battery drain due to LTE connectivity then go ahead with N9005. Otherwise opt for the N9000 which gives better performance while maintaining better battery efficiency. The 6-core Mali GPU in N9000 is way superior than the Adreno 330 in N9005. Adreno 330 was just slightly faster than PowerVR in Galaxy S4.

AnonD-37985, 20 Sep 2013FM radio is HARDWARE ! how can you download FM radio ? :S ... moreBecause the radio on galaxy is much better than a dedicated one, especially when using Spirit UL so you can watch the reception meter like my Sansa Clip+ and record highest quality radio. For the convenience, you wouldn't carry an extra device outside, what means you have to rely on 2 batteries which one can be dried out just when you wish it won't and switch between 2 headphone jacks every time.

                              Just a thought...
Has anyone ever tried making a rubber Ducky type antenna that just plugs into the headphone jack while you listen to the music using Bluetooth Stereo Headphones?
If you know of such a thing, PLEASE POST A LINK!!!

I figure an antenna such as this would be much nicer to carry around then using a pair of ear buds that have to be plugged and unplugged all the time. And it would also greatly reduce the chance of damaging / wearing out the headphone jack

Do you need to root your device or does it depend on the settings from the individual manufacturer? I assume if FM is activated you don't need to root your phone but you would need to root it if its not activated?

Saumil, 20 Sep 2013When note 2 has launched, its price was 35600 in India. not... morei disagree with you. Note 2 was initially launched for 39-40K. Also Note 3 is not just incremental improvement over the Note2. It has inbuilt 32gb,Full HD display,13 MP camera with improved software,Improved S pen functionality. This is what so far we have seen. It might be having many more improvement. We will come to know once we get it's full review. Also depreciation in rupee has also contributed to this high price factor. So if you wait for few months you will get it around 44-45k.

Only I not too sure, whether Samsung has activated or deactivated it,you got to try it,if it does, the good news is chances you will get your radio working with note 3 by installing the app Spirit FM unlimited, yes it's an on-air radio app,NO STREAMING,NO INTERNET CONNECTION NEEDED.Purely Air reception with frequencies tunning.

Note 3 users please try it out and let us know whether it rocks, remember to plug in the headphone for antenna purposes. As long you open this app, there is sound coming out from your earphone or speaker, that it is,if it mutes, goto settings and play with the setting, you might have to enable certain radio chipset to make it sound, but chances are the settings already mostly set to Auto in default,so it might prove that it doesn't work on note 3,just too bad that Samsung has disabled the hardware.

The radio app is 100% proved working on HTC Butterfly S,because its FM radio Hardware is enabled.

                                    Good luck !

[deleted post]nope... note 2 was launched at 40000, not 36000 but ur point is correct, note 3 is hugely overpriced... i expected somewhere around 43k(max 45k) but it broke all the record... its even costlier than iphone 5S.... samsung z going down day by day and sony has got a very good chance to capitalise now... was hoping to get it by selling note 2 but now m goin to stick with my note 2...i am wondering within 4-5 years these new flagship phones will cost in lakhs...

That is where software like spirit FM comes in... i'm not sure if you need to root your device though. My note 2 has FM radio so i have never used spirit FM.

The snapdragon 800 has an FM tuner. Even if Samsung doesn't enable it you should be able to install software and get it.
