That's why you don't just buy an old phone, you buy the phone and a new battery separately, unless the owner confirmed to you that he/she recently changed the battery.

I am looking for a phone where you can replace the battery. This is the best and newest phone where the battery can still be replaced. The phone companies swindled their customers when they created built-in batteries.
