This phone like any other Samsung Galaxy model has an echo problem when receiving a call. The only solution at this point is to use a headset/headphone in order to eliminate such echo. Quite a hassle for incoming calls which must be answered immediately. Furthermore, S'Note (N7000) is better since it has a radio and it runs distinctively faster against I717.

Which is better?
N7000 or I717
N7000 looks better...as it has FM radio, and NFC....
N7000 => 1.5 GHz, I717 => 1.4 GHz, thats doesn't make any difference

an excellent machine but a user like me isnt really happy with the battery timing! any solution for a longer battery timing will be much appreciated.

the samsung galaxy note is a very good phone it is a large screen 3g speed is a very fast but battery is very bad hd video recording is good and live tv in all chanlees is 3g speed front camera is good

Yes, reading the description it looks like it is a powerful phone for business solution but, regular use: couple websites, 5 minutes of google maps, some phone calls and sync, is only enough for 10AM-18AM. It is not what I have expected and the samsung repair service says its ok and there is no defect...

After using this phone for 3 weeks I can't say anything but nice phone. but who ever did it, I am sure he never did a phone before:
Why on earth would anyone put the on/off button on the side of the device instead of the top like all the devices? Each time you press the volume button you end up pressing the on/off button and vice versa.Believe me it's very frustrating to use.
Still there is a problem with the screen under the sun where you can see nothing at all and need to guess.
Beside that the big screen is amazing and if anyone thinks that it's too big and doesn't fir in your pocket you are wrong. It's good for reading and for your pocket.

Samsung Galaxy Note I717 or Samsu... moreThe N7000 is the international version of the Galaxy Note it has the Dual-core 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 on the Exynos chipset made by Samsung which is a better CPU than its I717 counterpart but the Exynos chipset lacks the hardware ability to get LTE wireless speeds.
The I717 is the "US" version that runs the Dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion on the Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon chipset which supports LTE connection capabilities.
You give some and you take some between the two...
