Samsung Galaxy phones and laptops get new Phone Link feature: Recent Websites

Samsung Galaxy phones usually are the first to get new features enabled in Microsoft’s Phone Link app that connects Android devices with Windows computers. There is a new one called “Recent Websites” that allows you to easily continue your last browsing session from your phone on your Galaxy Book laptop.

How it works is pretty simple – just open the Phone Link app (or use the flyout menu from the task bar) and you will see a list of the last sites you visited on your Galaxy phone. You can tap on an individual site or on Open All to load them in your laptop's browser.

Here’s a demo:

This browser does not support the video element.

This is just a taste of the new features to come, Samsung will Unpack the Galaxy S23 series and new Galaxy Book3 laptops on February 1 and it teases that it has more connectivity features up its sleeve.

That said, this feature isn’t tied to a particular version of Galaxy phone or Galaxy Book. An update for the Phone Link app (on Windows) and the Link to Windows app (on Android) is rolling out now. Once you have the two apps updated and your devices connected to each other, you should be able to use the new Recent Websites feature.

Just another app SAMSUNG forces down the customer's throat. No option to uninstall it, if one does afford to simply not needing it. I can't wait for Pixels to become an option for me...

By looks of it, Huawei Share seems to be a better option.
