I'm sure waiting for that after Huawei disappointed me in not bringing out a follow-up to the Mate 20X.

I plug my phone into my computer and it automatically saves the new photos and videos to the SSD same as it does with my S9+ that has an SD card so not really an issue. Also, SD cards are so slow compared to UFS 3.1 and not very reliable in comparison.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2021Sad there are heating problems on Exynos 2100 version of S2... moreA new phone works harder for the first 1 or 2 weeks after it is set up so I user with a new phone is a little early to be saying all S21 ultras with Exynos have a problem.
and this is what he actually said so they phone is working very hard at the time.
"The exynos version heats up much faster than S20 FE 5G which has snapdragon 865. It is much hotter than 865 during gaming and i experience some frame rate drop after playing at 1440p for extended period of time. Turning down to 1080p reduce fps drop and reduce heat slightly. However, after idling for a short while, it cool down really fast. Don't know about snapdragon 888 version though."

The review below show the standard camera EV could adjusted at least to -0,3 stop. So the picture will not look like washed out and the color will be more nature. Adjust standard EV to -0,3 stop will also result a quicker shutter to reduce blur. All in all, it will be a benefit. Of course one can always shoot in pro mode and make -0,3 EV adjustment manually but it is not convenient always. I have pre-ordered en ultra with 512GB, as I will use DEX quite often and the 16GB DRAM will be essential. I like the phone but I really hope Samsung will release an update to include DC dimming mode for the screen, you should at least allow the user have an option to use DC mode. Most people prefer comfort eyes more than accurate color.

It's not even the size of the phones I'm annoyed about. As some other user's pointed out, it's nice to but important or personal files on an sd card so you can easily transfer them to a new phone or recover something if the phone break. Sure you could always do a motherboard swap to a working phone to recover files, but that's too costly and wasteful.

all people here talking about overheat, performance, camera like they already buy or try this $1200 phone.
For me i already use the S21 Ultra because i have business phone counter. And this phone already good enough, even You will not use its feature. What else you want, AI? autofocus? , super duper camera? genshin impact?
no slot for SD Card? 256 is already big enough, and in the future all brand like samsung and apple will wipe out SD Card, And you cant do anything

Second, I completely agree that 8k is absolutely unnecessary for a phone. 4k 30/60/120 would have been more than enough.
Third, files sizes are only getting larger, apps, movies, photo sizes. It's confusing that they would remove sd cards. I'm also not sure how a portless future and 8k+ videos will work out. Maybe it will never come to that or we will figure something sensible out.

Speaking of getting with the times, as far as I can tell, the S21 Ultra only has an 8-bit display. Seriously? Sure this 1,000 dollar plus phone can take 12-bit photos, but it can't even display them at at least 10-bit? Also why 8k @ 24fps? It's 2021! It should be 8k @ 30fps! Are they even trying?
The phone's DAC looks pretty good though. Nice job, Samsung.

I can tell you that most people in Japan don't own computers or tablets and rely on smartphones as the only way to access the Internet. That's actually the same reason PC gaming isn't very popular here. Console gaming is big here.
