That's one of the reason I bought instead the S22+ . Poor ergonomy of the ultra, so easy to drop. Curved screen , so break more easily, and harder to find a good screen protector. There's the cost of the ultra, but also the hidden cost of replacing the screen.

I mean, things like no audio jack, no SD card slot, no charger, no headphones etc. are commonplace in most flagship phones these days (...and does it really matter which side the pen is on...? 🤷♂️)

I upgraded to the S22 Ultra from Note 9.
No 3.5mm audio jack
No SD card slot
No notification light
No dual sim
No charger
No classy atg headphones
No WifiDirect send feature only receive
I hate the volume rocker it's a real bummer
Also pen on left side not right
I dropped my S22 a week later and subsequently a very, very expensive screen replacement $400AUD

Also other features that are gone is the removal battery which was a great feature
Also no IR remote control feature - gone !

Advantaga of note20 ultra over s22 ultra, is that it has microsd slot, for added extra storage.and it is lighter in weight.

Sometimes slow and buggy, app's crash randomly sometimes, camera is good, but not impressive tbh.
Makes me miss my S10 Egde.
Not what i would expect for a phone in this price range

My old samsung galaxy S8 + takes better pictures than s22u...
.......I also owned an iPhone 14 pro - camera just awesome!!

- nicer design (mainly the back camera bump/s)
- better battery (nearly 17hrs web-browsing, 18hrs video playback)
- better Exynos version (2200 compared to 990)
- slightly faster charging
- 1440p at 120Hz
- 2+ more years of updates

just got the s22u and i'm disappointed with the camera quality. it looks digitalize and overly saturated color. My Oppo Find X2 Pro takes better photos. S22u camera produces a lot of noise at low light while on daylight it overly saturate the colors. it doesn't look like what i saw in my eyes. dayum i though i'm getting better picture s22u but the result was disappointment.

I have a perfectly good Note 20 Ultra 5G with a 6.9 inch screen, 256gb internal and 1tb card storage. Can anyone give me a reason why I should buy the 22 Ultra?????

Llyod, 19 Jan 2023Got this phone on release, the usa with Snapdragon gen1 ve... moreNot critical. Just buy a decent flash drive and an otg. When you need to clean your phone internal storage move your data to your flash drive. Not difficult at all.

Was thinking about getting this phone but now I think S22U main camera pictures are slightly disappointing because the pictures have noise even at base iso and the details are not well maintained which is quite evident if you pixel peep other than that, the colors and contrast is quite good. At launch it was more evident as mentioned in the GSMA review and it's still quite evident even after a few OTA updates. I guess i am nitpicking but I like the S21U & S20U's photos from the main camera in daylight more than S22U. Anyways I have basically no use of the SPen and I was looking forward to get this phone because of One UI but now will just wait to see if S23U will be any better with the new 200MP sensor or else I'm looking forward to see how the new phones from other competitors with 1 inch type sensor performs.
