Cake, 21 Oct 2024This or the Xiaomi 14?I'm using S23 and it's an amazing phone. But nowadays, I can buy brand new Xiaomi 14 for about 600€ brand new.
I will wait for S25 plus, or even S26, because I'm afraid of foggy lens on Xiaomi 14.

Ashan, 18 Oct 2024Best phone ever.... this is my 1st review....It is, at least damn close. It's compact(i wanted a smaller phone but didn't wanna pay Apple prices), a super fast Snapdragon chip modified for Samsung specifically, reliable & sturdy build etc etc.
They really hit the bullseye with this series IMO. Especially with that decision of going with Snapdragon on all S23 models, the raw performance is just incomparable to the Exynos chip, the SD is just lightyears ahead no matter how you spin it.

Also, one question, in S20 FE 5G, I have always had an issue that while recording videos using it's camera app or an audio using Samsung's voice recorder or a third party, there is a lot of background noise, a lot I mean, if there is a fan running in the room, it captures it a lot
I had moto g5 plus earlier and it does a fantastic job in filtering out background noise in any app and obviously in calls.
The only thing where the mic of S20 FE 5G is great is for any sort of calls, it does fantastic job, even when I am sitting below a ceiling fan, it reduces it's sound and delivers my voice clear to other person.
How is the mic for S23?

The S20 FE is nowhere near the S23. The S23 is far ahead when you compare it to the S20 FE 5G.

I went to a store nearby and tried using S23 and S24 Exynos as well
There isn't much of a difference in photo and video quality in cameras of mine vs both of those.
Yes, they are improved but not that much of a difference
Only difference is few added software features in new ones which S20 FE 5G won't get (obvious reasons)
battery is decent in S20 FE 5G for a whole day use
only plus points in S23 vs S20 FE 5G are compact size, less bulky, looks more premium, more software update support and new AI features
I am still confused to upgrade to S23 or not

The speed difference between those storage variants (UFS 3.1 vs 4.0 ) will not be noticeable IRL...but exynos 2200 in S23 FE runs hot and drains battery (SOT: 4-5hrs) so I'd advise to go towards S23 as it runs cooler and has a better endurance (SOT: 7-8hrs)
Storage is upto you (128gb vs 256gb) depending on what you can get as it doesn't matter that much in real world usage
Note: SOT times are based on mixed usage

On the plus side s20 FE still has that SD card slot which i miss on this S23

Is it worth updating from S20 FE 5G to this phone in India
In sale as well, it costs around 42-45k with charger
Also, I don't think there is much bigger difference in both
I think S20 FE 5G is only behind in terms of software updates now but it works well.

I have purchased s23 recently and i updated my s23 to 6.1 update and my super slow motion/slow motion video is flickering and black spots in slow motion.is any one facing this?
