Anonymous, 15 Apr 2024Hey everyone, kindly put thoughts forward for experience of... moreSad to say but the AI features does reduce screen on time. Mine went down from 10-12hrs to ~6hrs. I used to only recharge after 2.5days, but now I need to recharge after 1.75 days

Anonymous, 15 Apr 2024Hey everyone, kindly put thoughts forward for experience of... moreNothing ground breaking.
Most AI feature one is going to use after 15-20 days; is about camera.
      And one is writing style.
      3rd is circle to search.
      Battery life is not impacted.
AI generated wall papers are not out of blue.
If you are using samsung notes, it will help.
If you are not natively english speaking person, then AI features related voice are not of much use.
No random shut off after update, so bug free.
No slowing down; as I am not expecting this as this just one year old phone.

Yeah, gotta be the fact that there is not that much demand. Personally I would never go for S23 if I can get 23+ not only it has faster charging but bigger battery and while faster charging is artificially lowered, bigger battery probably wouldnt fit in the base 23.

If your paying small fortune might as well see everything on a more comfortable screen. I believe that's what most people think, including me. And its really the same story with midrange because for a lot of people that midrange price will be small fortune, they are either not too wealthy or simply don't want to spend more on a thing like smartphone.

I have an s23 which I love and have no real problems. I have set the charge to limit at 85% as suggested by Samsung and it has always come off charge at 85%. However just recently - perhaps in the last week and perhaps since the last update - the phone has come off charge at 79% only instead of 85%. Can anyone shed some light on this please? I have put it back on charge to come up to 85% but it still limits at 79%. Weird. Other than that the phone is perfect.

Dr. Stephen Strange, 05 Apr 2024I think small phones are for the people, whose average sc... moreWell said. But even many 5k mAh phones have the same problem.

I think small phones are for the people,
whose average screen on time won't go more than 3 hours.
who are not in to games.
who mostly use it for call, WhatsApp [nowadays it is almost for work purpose], some social media, few pics and videos, few bank apps, some podcast and few YouTube videos.
who has easy access to charging points.

Don't try anything for first week; let the battery settle. Being an android phone, it will drain some battery even when it is on table sitting idle. Then start trying different methods according to your preferences and then you can extract 1-1.5 hours more screen time.

Protect battery should be on at least for first year and half, so it will serve optimizing the battery at full capacity [you can think like you are using 3120 mAh] . After one and half year [when battery is going to degrade, think that it has degraded around 15 percentages], then forget about protecting battery and charge to full [which again comes to somewhere 3100-3200], so for at least 2.5-3 years you will get almost same screen on time; when you charge the mobile.
And for screen, adaptive brightness should be on during day time and after 7 pm, dim the screen should be on.
I use routines and modes, and during night time / at secure locations like home and office, when you can use Wi-Fi, auto switch off the data; on the Wi-Fi calling, dim the screen brightness, set the location off; and you can prolong the battery time. Everything is automated, anyone can learn from YouTube.
I watch general YouTube videos at HD resolution on mobiles, unless specific videos related to my learning process [which I watch at FHD or QHD]. Movies from last 10-15 years, I watch them on FHD, older movies are mostly at HD resolution. It is of no use to see QHD resolution videos on that tiny screen.
I am not in much favor of reducing the screen refresh rate. Because one should enjoy the phone too.
On a long day when I know I can be outside for some more time, I start my day with 100 % and top up for 20-30 minutes around 2-3 pm when having lunch.
I am long term Samsung user; almost from the era of Note 4 except 2-3 years in between when I have switched to Pixel and iPhone.
so I learned things by trial and error as well as from YouTube videos.
                          Thanks.

The price of s23 is almost as the same as midrange phones now so what the use of midrange android phones since theres one year flagship phones around aviabile?!

After few days, One UI 6.1 ruined my entire experience!
Until now, it worked perfectly fine and almost 0 bugs.
Now... It's just pure pain, it lags, the animation when trying to open an app simply does not work sometimes and it kicks me out of an app instantly making some weird bug, i can cause this bug at any time on purpose.
I hate the new animations, trying to look like HyperOS and it actually does.
Not to mention that notifications are ruined (especially when using icons), AOD doesn't have manual brightness anymore, fingerprint sometimes does not even work only when i tap it again.

I don't know what Samsung has done but this update took month off and they didn't make it stable enough, i'll simply switch to another brand if this doesn't get fixed soon.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2024UI 6.1 battery drain fastily.. Alas It drained for me after the first charging cycle. Wipe cache of the most commonly used apps, unless you want to do factory reset. Check your deep sleeping apps, restart the phone - good to go. After this, the phone last me a comfortable two days, again.

                                        1. Is the camera degraded on the name of being Natural like s 24 or may be even more worse so that people shifts to s24, or its maintained.
