Battery review after 2 weeks (get mine on Feb 11).... Awesome!
First of all, my previous device is S21Ultra and I'm light user (mostly FB, Viber, Chat, YT, Chrome) as I've Tab S8+ for further media consumption. For this S23, I have to say I made the right decision in waiting it instead of S22.
The higher mah battery + new processor made the magic that its able to match or even better battery life than my S21Ultra. I easily get 7-8 hrs SOT from 100% (mostly wifi) with my usage, with Data probably 6~ hrs SOT. The reviews about battery in YT are spot-on. If you like small phone then this is the one to get aside from Zenfone 9.

How's the battery life? I'm thinking about buying this one, but I'm not yet convinced because it's a relatively small battery on paper (3900 mAh). I don't play games and only use social media and browse the internet, so I'm hoping it should EASILY get me through the day?

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2023Better to get newer A model though like A14 5g $200Sure. If you don't have the money for the S series. Or want to save money, then the A series might be fine. But the A series is much, much slower than the S series. And is lacking many other features that the Series has.
My GF has been using A series phones for years. And she likes them. But me? I could not switch from an S series to an A series. The speed difference alone is huge.
Not to mention lower rez videos. I've been using UHD TVs since 2016. I would rather record videos in UHD. But my GF still uses HD TVs. So the A series works for her.
Plus there is no wireless charging on the A series. I've been using wireless charging with my cell phones since the Galaxy S6. That is one feature that I absolutely need in a cell phone. I will never purchase another cellphone without wireless charging.
No under screen fingerprint reader either in the A series. I could not go back to a phone without that.

Just purchased S23 Green 256G a few days ago and everything was working perfectly but I noticed the bluetooth is considerably less powerful on volume and a little on quality of the song when listening to music on the car or when connected to speakers (comparing it to S10, both same EQ and app). Have any of you noticed this same situation?

Verizon was offering a "free" upgrade to the S23 from my S20FE 5G so I took it. Had to pay a $35 upgrade fee and the retail tax of $39+ so hope I made the right choice.

Sam799, 23 Feb 2023Yeah I'm planning to get my hands on the S23 but sadly... moreYou'll be waiting a while, unfortunately. From what I read, Samsung isn't budging with their pittance for trade-in values compared to what they used to offer. As I said in my other comment, I took a different route and got a S20 instead. eBay has shops that sell them like new for less than $300. And best of all, you get more features from that base model than anything from the S21 onwards. As long as you don't mind living with Android 13 as the last Android update on the S20, it's quite a buy.

I feel as though this phone, like the ones before since the S21 (not including the Ultras), have made compromises in the wrong places to hit that $800 price tag. I think what really irked me was how lacking Samsung was in their trade-in offers compared to years prior. They don't even offer to trade in two devices anymore.
So as unusual as this sounds, I decided to actually do something different and get an older model instead. Found a like-new condition Samsung Galaxy S20 on eBay for under $300, factory unlocked. I needed a phone with a telephoto lens anyway since my current phone didn't have one, so I went with the S20. It may be on its last year of Android updates, ending with Android 13, but this was once a $1000 phone that I got for less than a third of the price.
I'm getting MST for card reading capabilities, something the S21 and newer phones no longer support. I'm getting a microSD slot for expandable storage, quadHD display which the S21 and never phones no longer support (only the Ultras). I'm getting a lot with this phone. So yeah. I would've been fine "upgrading" to the S23 had Samsung kept their former trade-in values, but who in their right mind would let their near $2000 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 go for a mere $700 or the S22 Ultra for $500?
If they want to get greedy like this, then that's okay. The S20 is already plenty fast to handle all apps for the next several years still.

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2023Ok thanks. Stay warm....lol Sam are you going to update to... moreYeah I'm planning to get my hands on the S23 but sadly we don't have any incentives on it at present and I'm eagerly waiting for some tempting offers so that I can go for it. Hope to get something along with the phone as the unboxing experience these days is pretty dull 😑
