Anonymous, 07 Feb 2023I wish there was an option for a mid-range compact phone. There's the motorola edge 30 neo. Not super compact at 6.28in screen size but smaller than most phones nowadays.

Just because wired headphones are "decade-old technology" doesn't mean they have no practical use. If "old" means practical and "new" means restricted and locked-in and more maintenance-dependent, I'd pick "old" any day of the week.

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2023It is already enough. Stop crying and use wireless earbuds.... moreIt depends. The reason why there's still wired cable needed is when you play the game in S23 that needs precision timing, like rhythm game for example.
I've also planned to use this S23 to play rhythm games like Groove Coaster etc.
If using wireless, the delay will affect the skill to play the game. Yes I can set the delay offset for wireless, but some rhythm games aren't available for perfect timing using wireless.
This is Y, the best solution on this case is: Wired earphone/headphone.

I am testing S23 3rd day and comparing it to my current S20.
Photos are mostly better on S20 (!). S23 photos are noisy and way oversharpened. A lot of oversharpening artifacts makes the image look artificial and just bad. However, at darker areas there are a lot more details preserved on S23, though a lot of noise is there as well. Unfortunately, this doesn't make me feel S23 is better at photos, I still prefer S20's images.
I am also disappointed on the tele lens. I was expecting it to be a fairly big upgrade over S20's fake zoom, but it turned out that the difference is indeed there, but not that big I was expecting. S20's fake zoom is really nearly as good as optical S23's. Bigger difference is at dusk and night, but not that big I was expecting. At bright daylight S20's fake zoom is preserving more details at higher zoom ranges (!), although the overall image looks better on S23.
After first day I was literally about to return S23 and stay with S20 for another year.
But the next day I started playing around with videos, stabilization and this is where I was totally surprised. S23 is a HUGE improvements in this area. Videos at dusk and night looks like from a different decade when comparing to S20. Stabilization and especially the clarity and details on these videos surprised me most. This is a HUGE improvement, really. Thumbs up for that Samsung - I was not expecting THAT big improvement.
If photos are to be fixed by software updates (I believe so), I guess I will stay with this S23 for another 4-5 years.

Samsung just pulled another apple.
Practically the same phone, with a +1 number in the title.
Yes, yes, the storage is faster, but did you honestly need that? Was the previous one "slow"?

Ravikumar, 07 Feb 2023greedy samsung, just 422ppi for flagship, it should be abov... moreWhat is the problem? This should be no surprise. This is the third year the S2x and S2x+ has a lower resolution than the S20/S20+ and prior models had. Heck, the S23+ has an even lower ppi. But it's really no big deal. The displays are still great and have excellent high peak nits. Which, to me, is more important than a slightly lower ppi number.

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2023No one is using SD cards or audio jacks in 2023. I haven... moreBluetooth connection is a hassle compared to plugging in the headphone and playing audio inmediately, and MicroSD can be ejected if the phone stops working.
Besides, CDs and DVDs outlast your fancy cloud storage by decades.

Besides, 8K video needs 10 MB/s, which was well within the MicroSD performance range a decade ago.
Full-sized SD cards can also have hundreds of megabytes per second, but them being supported by mobile phone manufacturers is a futile pipe dream.

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2023It is already enough. Stop crying and use wireless earbuds.... moreDisplay is bright enough. No need for a flashlight/torch on the rear of the phone. Why do that when you can just turn the phone around and take a picture at night? Who needs that ugly translucent circle on the back of the phone? If you want that so badly, then just buy the Galaxy S25 Ultra Max 5G UW Dolby Digital Surround. I can't go outside and see someone with a phone with a flashlight on their phone anymore. It's so old and ancient that it makes me want to throw up.
Fanboys will literally defend anything. No matter what Samsung removes. Remember people: if you don't need it, congrats. Just because you don't use 64GB out of the 128GB in your phone doesn't mean you should be laughing at people that have more storage or have things that they don't use. Just because you are a side sleeper doesn't mean that every mattress in the conceivable universe should be 2x less wide.
