Samsung Galaxy S23 series breaks pre-order records in India

Last week Samsung announced its brand new Galaxy S23 series and despite the price hike, the company secured around 140,000 pre-orders in the first 24 hours in India. That's about twice the Galaxy S22 pre-orders from last year and it shows a strong demand for premium devices in the country and perhaps Samsung's pre-order deals and goodies tipped the scale in its favor.

Samsung's spokesperson didn't reveal the pre-order distribution. The average selling price of a Galaxy S23 member is about INR 99,000 ($1,200), so that would make for $169 million in revenue.

Samsung has recently opened a big production facility in India - the biggest one in the country, actually - and Galaxy S23 series sold in the country are assembled there.

Nice to see premium phone being bought in India. More chances to keep longer than those 20$ phones that are disposed faster and create more waste.

Don't ever compare Chinese phone to Samsung. Miui is trash with garbage geekbench. If you use Chinese phone, you are just a Chinese. Samsung feels fresh and clean, Xiaomi feels awful and dirty and always a silly tail.

Thank you brother for the unexpected kind words.im almost healed, only the ocd drivers me crazy stillπŸ˜„
