IronMan, 10 May 2024But how is the battery and heating? It has great battery life as the large battery size plus the efficient new processor makes it last. Depending on how much you use it, it can last 2 to even 3 days. It doesn't get noticeably hot in my experience (I had the LG V40 which literally burnt my leg).

Essentially if you never use it, turn it off.

I turned off RAM Plus, because 12GB of RAM is more than enough, even if you play games a lot. And because physical RAM is faster than virtual RAM. So it doesn't really help a lot anyway.

PETER THE FOXE, 05 May 2024i have had an S8 4.5 yrs and use it on a regular basis and ... moreNew screens get scratches easily but don't break when dropped. Screen protector is very important. My S24+ got first scratch very soon. Put a glass screen protector and the scratch is invisible now. On the other hand dropped my iconic S6 Edge on ground and it got zero scratch.

i have had an S8 4.5 yrs and use it on a regular basis and the screen with no protection what so ever and is absolutly pristine condition ,,,,, also have a S20 which is badly scratched already ,,,, i would have thought with all these new so called gorrilla glass screens i would have thought scratch risistants would have improved but going by the comments on here advising immediate use of protecting it seems sadly that screen quality on Samsung phones is getting worse and not better as you would expect.

I turn off nfc, printer, many ai options, everything in advanced settings... You basically check all settings and disable things you think not needed. Also I disabled adaptive battery and ram plus. And Google assistant as well. After that installed all updates and some apps. After that opened recovery menu and wiped cache partition. As I said you check all settings including every app settings. And also boosted bass with equalizer in music app.
