Sanic72, 21 Apr 2025The worst FE Scamsung ever made
No 12GB RAM option
Slow... moreI use this phone as a daily driver and its actually a good phone
1. 8GB is just fine for most users, most power users who need 12GB of RAM weren't looking at an FE anyways.
2. Almost every phone has a camera bump? Its because cameras have evolved to be better, don't want one? Buy a pixel 9a and suffer with massive bezels and a nerfed camera, or a red magic that has worse camera quality as well.
3. The fingerprint sensor is fairly fast. Ultrasonic would be a good addition to the next FE though. So i half agree i guess? Also, it affects the Now bar position when this gets OneUI 7, doesn't look good on optical fingerprint sensors in my book.
4. Yeah, it may be 4700 mah, but the battery life is good. And thats literally all i care about when it comes to battery, it lasts a day without issue, and thats good in my book. Also, they had to accomodate wireless charging

But yes, i tend to prefer the S24FE as a better device, specially because the older modem in the 9a that's giving some problems with new users complaining about missed calls.

The worst FE Scamsung ever made
No 12GB RAM option
Slower version than the already inferior Exynos
Ugly camera protrusion (on purpose so the S24+ look better)
Slow optical fingerprint scanner instead of ultrasonic
4700mAh battery on 6.7' screen!

Bodygard, 18 Apr 2025Between this and Pixel 9a, considering that they're at... moreI'd definitely go for the S24FE mainly because i feel like One UI makes the Android experience so much better. I prefer the software more and the overall design of the phone is way more appealing in my opinion. And i think it will age better for sure. The specs are also better all around so if money isn't an issue you might as well go for the S25. But S24FE should be just fine, definitely the more viable option than the Pixel 9a.

As for the update issue, this is more to the software thing if you know a thing or two about software. There is a bad rap for software as software are the one getting update for free, but nobody go and scold why not update for the hardware as well. Because it is tangible and software is not?

Performance wise it's not bad, everything else it's mid as hell with some bad bad bad things.
Pros: it performs well, the cameras are pretty nice, the screen is very nice, the phone runs smooth and the software feels okay most of the time. The build quality is also good, it feels solid in the hand and also looks better than say a Xiaomi.
Mid things: the design is mid and uninspiring, almost bad, it's the most generic slab thing ever, the processor is not slow but when you ask it to do something intensive it's insanely power hungry (I used to have a Motorola phone that when I was using android auto during a 4 hour drive I'd get in the car plug it in with like 20% battery and arrive with 100% battery just fine, this one in 4 hours it maybe goes from 50% to 60%, maybe, I've actually seen it go down), stereo audio is actually not bad but it's very mid, the speakers are of dubious quality
Bad: it's missing a ton of features, some of them are frankly insane, it does not even have a proximity sensor, what is thatttt???? How much did they save doing that? 50 dollar cents per phone maybe? I can pay an extra 50 dollar cents in exchange for the most basic and primitive of features, the virtual proximity sensor SUCKS and it has no reason to exist in 2025. It doesn't have a headphone jack nor sd card slot and I can't think of a single excuse to justify that, the phone is HUGE, if they can't find space to fit their headphone jack and sd card reader, they need to fire their designers ASAP cause they're as competitive as designers as I am as a Martian acrobat. The feel of the usb c port is weird, giving low range vibes, the "fast" charging is only like 25W (wtf), my last phone cost literally half of what this cost, was already old when I bought it and it could literally charge faster. Samsung's bloatware blows, you need a Samsung account for literally everything even the simplest and dumbest of functions for some reason need a Samsung account. I refuse to make one, will not happen. Original accessories are trash, awful quality and terrible design, save some money and buy any other random Chinese case or whatever you want. Why is there no charger in the box? That saves nothing and will not encourage me from keeping my old charger, if I give away my old phone I'm giving it away with the charger, that's just a dumb cash grab, again, buy the cheap Chinese one, save some money, you only need 25W anyways. Also, the software has completely frozen up on me twice in 6 months, that is bad, bad bad. And finally: updates. The one thing I bought this phone for was the 7 year of updates, that's the one thing that pushed me towards this phone. So far I haven't received a single android version update, and Android 16 is about to launch. Samsung is I think the worst manufacturer when it comes to updates, they screw it up so bad it's unbelievable even security updates arrive super super astonishingly hilariously late, I get them somewhere in between the 18th and 25th, wtf, the monthly security patches are almost a whole month off hahahahahahaha.
Veredict: do not buy Samsung, the company has stopped innovating, is penny pinching very hard, it SUCKS at updates to a point where it's hillarious and the features they cut off to save literal cents per phone are insane. Are they going bust or something? Next time I'll go with a Chinese brand probably, if I'm gonna get Chinese phone quality, design and updates I might as well pay Chinese phone prices, and it's still unthinkable but they have more and better stuff out of the box than Samsung phones with no charger, no case, no nothing, and on top of that I don't think I've ever been bothered this much to sign into an account ever before in my life. Samsung honestly needs a reality check bad, they've never been good in my opinion, I do not even know what I was on when I read "7 years of updates" in the Samsung store and though "oh yes, they are going to deliver 7 updates in a timely fashion, Samsung wouldn't lie".

filipes, 11 Apr 2025so you guys think its worth the money? It's worth it, if you're on budget. Personally, I don't like huge phones so I would prefer to get even at least S23. But, performance wise S24 FE is really nothing bad at all, especially if you're gaming then get it. Then you will like the huge screen - otherwise for casual users, the size of base model S series is more than enough.
