Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could be launching this summer

Vlad, 04 April 2024

Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 FE last October, around eight months after the other Galaxy S23 models, and following a period with no FE model (there was no S22 FE). Now that the FE line's back, Samsung apparently isn't willing to give up on it again, and it's already working on the Galaxy S24 FE.

According to a new report from the company's home of Korea, the Galaxy S24 FE is launching this summer. That is way earlier than any other FE model before it, and it would come way sooner compared to the launch of the non-FE family too - the S24 series was released in January.

If this is true, then Samsung's rumored early to mid-July Unpacked event could be getting incredibly packed - with announcements, that is. We're already expecting the Galaxy Z Fold6 (of which there could be two models, not one), the Flip6, the full announcement of the Galaxy Ring, the new Galaxy Watch7 family, and now even the S24 FE could join this rather crowded party.

The information comes from supply chain sources in Korea. A company that's producing some of the display components for the upcoming Galaxy S24 FE, to be exact, which is saying that it's already begun mass production for the components it's supplying, ahead of the summer release of the model.

The production volume is planned to be "in the millions" already, so clearly Samsung thinks the S24 FE will be quite successful. It will of course feature an OLED display, and this will be surrounded by thin bezels, according to the report.
