Samsung Galaxy S24 in for review

The Samsung Galaxy S24 unveiled last week has landed at our office for review. We've got the Amber Yellow color, but regardless of which color you go for, the retail package remains the same - it includes a charging cable, a SIM ejector tool and some paperwork, and that's it. If you want a protective case or a power adapter, you'll have to shell out more money.

The Samsung Galaxy S24's US, Canadian, and Chinese models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, while the European version we have here has the Exynos 2400 SoC at the helm. The smartphone runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1 with up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage onboard.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 sports a 6.2" FullHD+ 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen. It's protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has a centered punch-hole for the 12MP selfie camera.

Around the back, we get a vertically aligned triple camera setup comprising 50 MP primary (with OIS), 10 MP telephoto (OIS, 3x optical zoom), and 12 MP ultrawide (120˚ FOV) units.

The rest of the Samsung Galaxy S24's highlights include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, and stereo speakers. The smartphone packs a 4,000 mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support.

The Galaxy S24 packs similar hardware to last year's Galaxy S23 but has a slightly larger battery and a screen with higher peak brightness. It's also an LTPO-type panel, and Samsung has promised seven years of Android version upgrades and security updates for the S24 lineup. Is that enough to consider the Galaxy S24? We'll answer that with our in-depth review, so stay tuned!

sure it's not as strong as the sdg3 but its only weaker by a bit, go check tests before laughing for no reason they did a great job with their exynos this year.

S24 is one of the best device exynos processor and owsome performance. I liked Samsung phones.

Apparently it's a China only snapdragon model. Perhaps with more demand it could be offered elsewhere.
