Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge review

Design and handling
The Galaxy S25 Edge's design is the centerpiece feature, but it's not fundamentally different from the rest of the Galaxy S25 family members. The device has a flat back, flat side frame and oval corners. The display on the front has razor-thin bezels and a minimalist camera island on the back.

The camera bump is the most distinctive design element compared to the S25 and the Plus. The two cameras sit in a slightly protruding glass piece instead of separate camera rings. This makes the phone wobble like crazy. The handset would even continue to wobble for a while after each touch when you place it on a flat surface. A case on the back can solve this for you, of course.

The device comes in three color options - Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver and Titanium Jetblack. All of these are familiar colors from the S25 Ultra. The unit we have is Titanium Silver.

The S25 Edge's dimensions are nothing short of impressive. Excluding the camera bump, the device is 5.8mm and tips the scale at only 163 grams. That's impressive even for a plastic-built large-screen smartphone. The S25 Edge doesn't cut corners when it comes to build quality, though.
The device features Corning's Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 sheet on the front, GG Victus 2 on the back and a titanium frame. After all, titanium is lighter than aluminum, so it makes sense.
You may be wondering how the Ceramic 2 shield compares to the Gorilla Armor 2 on the S25 Ultra, and the answer is: "It depends." The Ceramic 2 technically sits below the Armor 2 in terms of overall durability. Still, it's marketed to withstand multiple drops from a height of 2 meters, while the Armor 2 boasts 2.2 meters of protection on a concrete-like surface. The S25 Edge is also IP68-rated against water and dust.

The ultrasonic under-display fingerprint reader is conveniently placed, and we had no issues regarding performance. It performs just as good as on the rest of the S25 phones.

Ergonomics isn't ideal, but the fact that it's so thin and light helps a bunch. The S25 Edge is easy to handle and lies relatively comfortably in your hand. The inevitably sharp edges may feel a bit uncomfortable to some, but that's more of a personal preference.

All in all, the S25 Edge is a truly impressive device as far as weight and dimensions go, and it's nice to see that Samsung didn't cut corners with build quality either.

Now it’s 40 cheaper than ultra, and 100 more than S25 Plus. Also keep in mind, Edge has titanium frame and better main camera than Plus.

By the way, €900 now, rapidly approaching S25 Ultra price which had half a year to depreciate. Should be cheaper than that by the end of the June.
